Cute, spacious rainforest cottage close to HVNP

Come and enjoy our lovely cottage, just minutes from Volcano Village and the world- renowned Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. This private home offers all the comforts of home in a beautiful, unique setting sure to relax and inspire you.

This charming home is equipped with a queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom in each of the two identical bedrooms, located at opposite ends of the house for maximum privacy. For families traveling with small children, there is a pack and play crib for your convenience.

The house is joined in the center by a large luminous living and dining area with gas fireplace, books, cable television, free high-speed wifi and laptop friendly workspace. The full kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and everything else you might need to leisurely prepare meals at home. There are patio chairs on the covered deck to the front of the house, as well as a covered carport to the back. The water is filtered through a Renai on demand system with both cloth, charcoal and UV filters, making it safe to drink and delicious!

Perfect for families, groups of friends or couples seeking value and privacy. This property is a registered short term vacation rental in conformance with all local and state laws and in possession of all necessary permits and licenses.

Wonderful mountain bungalow!

We loved our stay at this cute bungalow near Kilauea Volcano. It had a sweet mountain cabin feel with all the amenities you’d need. The grounds are well kept and nice for a short early morning stroll. The bungalow is a 5 min drive away from Volcano visitor center too!

Wonderful cottage nestled in a rainforest setting, far back from the road. It was clean, comfortable, ample towels and bedding/blankets. Every room had night lights and switches were clearly labeled. Perfect for two couples, matching en-suite bedrooms. And so close to Hawaii Volcanoes NP, made it easy for us to be there early. Sorry we didn't plan a longer stay.

Beautiful house near the national park

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely house in the forest a few miles from the Kīlauea entrance to the national park. Beautiful landscaping and a great equipped house. Perfect for families.

Beautiful spacious house

We absolutely loved this place. It is a perfect size and set up for two couples as you each have you own rooms and bathrooms, plus a full living space and kitchen. The beds were comfortable and cosy. Nice and close to the National Park.

It was clean, quiet well equipped, 2bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and near Volcano National Park. We liked hearing the little tree frogs in the evening.

Cabin in the woods

This house is lovely and couldn’t be more conviently located for visiting the National Park. The kitchen is well organized and has everything needed to cook a full meal. We’re here with family but it would work for two couples as both bedrooms have their own bathrooms and doors that close to the living room, making each its own private suite. We would stay here again and recommend to our family and friends. The property manager was very helpful.

A Great Getaway

We had to To make some last-minute changes to our trip so we decided to split it up by spending one half of it on the Kona side and the other half on the volcano side. This place is a true gem. Quiet and secluded it was the perfect place for us. It was our first time traveling long distance without kids. I loved being able to go outside at night and just look up and see all the stars so clearly. While we are on this side of the island, we spent some time at the volcano, walking the trails and then some of it down in Hilo. Depending on where you’re coming from just make sure you stop and get groceries before you get there. Otherwise there’s a market not too far from there in the village. Would definitely recommend this for families or people who like to explore.

Beautiful! Great location close to the volcano.

We are only staying at this property for one night, but I wish it could be longer. This home is beautiful inside and out. It seems to be new, and the online photos don't do it justice. We are visiting with our two children, and my 6-year old really enjoyed sleeping in the day bed under the window. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are large, and the kitchen is well appointed. It is very dark here at night, and to open the windows and listen to the tree frogs. We will be coming back some day for sure!

Volcano stay

First time visiting the Hilo side of the island and the location of our lodging was great. Explored the volcanoes and the surrounding areas in all directions. Very intriguing and educational. The lodging had everything. The only comment we have is that the tv didn’t work. It would have been nice to have later in the evenings. Not a big deal though. Thx.

Cute and quiet getaway

We are local residents and needed a place to stay while repairs were done at our home. We chose this cottage as it was nearby and convenient for us. The home was clean and neat and had everything we needed. We did call the property manager once during our stay - the battery in the smoke detector died and needed replacement. It happened very late in the afternoon and we didn't want to deal with a beeping smoke detector all night. It didn't take long for Dwayne to arrive and replace the battery. He didn't seem at all upset for the late call. Thank you, Dwayne! We would recommend this property if you are looking to stay close to the National Park or if you just want a nice, quiet and comfy place for a get-away. Mahalo for letting us stay at your lovely home!

Great location close to Volcano National Park

The property was best location to volcano national park. 10 minute drive and we could view Kilauea eruption. Although dated the property is very clean and host responsive to a couple small issues. Pilot light on heater needed lighting and battery change in one smoke detector (chirping incessantly our second night). Be aware this is located in rain forest so very humid and frequent rain/drizzle. Kitchen has basics but due to humidity spices need pounding to use. If you plan to cook, cookware is well-used and not non-stick. Cable tv has very limited channels. We chose to stream on a laptop and brought a Bluetooth speaker. Wi-Fi was good enough to handle multiple devices. Cell service was ok to talk or text. Would stay here again.

Serenely Exciting

Loved having a home away from home on the big island. We explored the Hilo side from here for a few days. Place is well situated for visiting National Park. We went to see eruption multiple times in a day. Two full bathrooms in mirrored split plan home. Our bed was very comfortable and bedroom is carpeted which was nice during chilly mornings. We would recommend a stay. This is not a fancy high end accommodation. It is clean, comfy and homey. Reminded me of my grandparents’ vacation home.

Ah-mazing Retreat!!!

I was duly impressed with the cleanliness of this home...Loved all the amenities..quiet. peaceful, safe...the foilage surrounding this hale was beautiful...especially with the sun peeking in thru the ferns and sparkly dews on the anthuriums..Highly recommend!
