Getaway Gent

8/10 Good

"Location was great, staff was nice"

a&o Brussel Centrum

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed here again after a wonderful experience last year and it was nice and the staff was kind as always. My only issue this time around was the noise with the construction happening on the property making it next to unbearable to take a nap after walking around the city. But getting a different room was so easy as the girl in the front made the process seamless and easy and she was understanding when I explained this to her, I really appreciated that especially with so many people coming left and right she was very intentional in her interaction with me and just demonstrated exceptional customer service. The only negative experience I had staff-wise was a member of the housekeeping staff who kept knocking at our door for us to get out of the room and he kept coming back until I found a way to tell him that we had a late check out, the misunderstanding and him coming back and forth was I guess due to the language barrier as he said he was from Afghanistan and spoke no English or French. Normally I would look past that but he was just extremely rude even after I explained everything to him. I don’t know how they manage these things but I hope there’s a system in place letting staff know who has late check out and ensuring they can communicate with clients because it was a let down after such a great overall experience. Nonetheless I appreciate the staff here for being so welcoming and ensuring our stay was comfortable!"

Holiday Inn Express Brussels Airport by IHG

8/10 Good

"We spent a day and a half here on our way from Canada to Greece. This hotel was amazing! We arrived at approximately 10 am after an overnight flight and we were exhausted. To our surprise our rooms were ready and we got to freshen up before we hit the train to Brussels Central to check out Brussels! The hotel was within walking distance to the train which took us right to The city. The only thing we had wished we had was a safe in the room but we managed ok. The hotel take was lovely and clean and staff were super friendly. We had a snack in the bar area in the evening and breakfast was delicious the next morning! I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!"
