"Lovely hotel. Staff extremely, friendly and very helpful. Superb location, just around the corner from the high street, with lots of good shops, bakeries, small supermarket. Lovely places to eat, especially for breakfast. Didn't take to long to walk from and to the train station. Around a 20 minute walk to the inner harbour along the river. There is a lovely restaurant there, Köpi Wirtshaus Duisburg. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel"

"im Kühlschrank befand sich noch eine verschrumpelte Gurke, das Wasser im Bad war außer am letzten Tag nur lauwarm, der Fernseher im Schlafzimmer ging nicht, der im Wohnzimmer schon. Ansonsten liebe ich es dort, die Lage ist schön ich fühle mich sicher, der Ausblick ist immer wieder ein Traum, das Bett ist sowas von gemütlich, nur aus meiner Sicht könnte man die Heizung schon aufdrehen mir ist 19-20 Grad definitiv zu kalt und ich schlafe mit langer Hose und langem Pullover :) Da der Parkplatz auch gleich direkt bei den Apartments ist finde ich es wirklich optimal. In der Nähe gibt es auch viele Restaurants und tolle Gyms und Cycling Studios."

"I really cannot thank the lovely lady who gave us early check in enough! We were on a ‘flying’ visit to see the Backstreet Boys and we knew check in was at 3pm. On arrival this particular lady (and I am so sorry i did not take your name!) politely asked about our plans and when she knew we were leaving for a 7am flight the next day she went above and beyond to get us into our room immediately (a little before 12noon). We were super grateful for that afternoon nap… We may have gone to see the boyband we loved in our teen years but we are certainly no longer teenagers and boundless energy has been lost long ago! I can honestly say that we enjoyed that concert because we had a decent rest before…and that is entirely down to the lady we encountered at check in at this hotel! The transport to the arena is direct via the new light railway next to the airport. I would recommend walking to the next stop on from the arena after any event as there are more trams going out to the airport from that next stop (Freiligrathplatz). I would not hesitate to book this hotel again and stay here for any future concerts/events! Even without early check in the hotel is clean and quiet and the staff are friendly in a calm and respectful way."

"It was overall okay, except I did not like the breakfast as much as the other Van der Valk Hotel Park Lane, but they had great options for lunch and dinner."

"The most professional, kind, welcoming and helpful front desk staff I had over three week stay in Europe. We stayed in several hotels and met many customer service people . No where was as amazing as this hotel’s staff - very helpful, didn’t seem cranky about having to speak in English, and very accommodating."
