Cozy Tiny Container Home-The Outwest

Summary:
This tiny house has all the amenities of an upscale hotel room yet with unique and exquisite design and decor. A queen size bed with a super-comfy Tuft & Needle mattress will help you fall asleep fast. A full size shower and bathroom is snuggled into the back of the unit and has endless hot water! For your morning coffee a Keurig and K-cups are provided along with a microwave for heating up your popcorn in the evening. Climb up to the rooftop deck for stargazing or your morning coffee.

The Space:
This unique home started as a 20' shipping container. Our build company, CargoHome, insulates and panels the interior in pine shiplap and trim it out in 100+ year-old barn wood. The outside is clad with cedar siding, spaced to allow the original container to still be seen. The fun rooftop deck is surrounded by a custom cable railing system and lit with LED lights that gives the deck a beautiful glow at night. LED lights inside and a super-quiet, efficient mini-split AC unit makes this a comfortable, energy efficient space.

The Neighborhood:
Great, safe neighborhood in the country just north of Waco. 5 minutes off I-35 and 3 minutes from Cafe Homestead and Homestead Craft Village. Only 8 minutes from the Waco airport.

Getting Around:
Parking is available right at the house. Uber is also fully available in the area.

Interaction with Guests:
We live right around the corner so are available for anything you need.

  • The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas is a terrific zoo! The zoo has a great range of animals and exhibits and the grounds are well kept and spacious. There's lots of shade to keep you somewhat cool during those hot Texan summer months if you visit during that time frame. The animal enclosures are nice, and can really give you great views of the animals themselves if you are a bit patient. This also makes for great photo views, as shown here with this photo of an approaching jaguar. Food and snack prices are also very reasonable, as are prices for souvenirs. This zoo makes for a great day out for the family.

Enjoyed our stay very much! Was perfect for what we needed. Cute and well appointed. The location is just outside of town enough to make you feel like you’re in the country. We enjoyed drinks on the rooftop while looking at the stars!
