We had a great time visiting Waco. The house was very comfortable and clean and the host communicated all of our needs. It was a short drive to Baylor University. We would absolutely stay here again!
Everything but the stairs was toddler friendly which we knew ahead of time. It was great to have a crib already set up. It didn’t feel like the most secure neighborhood & as other reviews mentioned there was in fact extremely loud music being played next door (obviously not the hosts fault). I would plan to bring a sound machine or play white noise on your phone.
This apartment is very comfortable and well kept. We had everything we needed including a yard for my grandson to play in. There was also a grill and fire pit in the backyard for our use. I would stay here again. The location isn’t within walking distance to the silo area, which I would have preferred. Otherwise, everything was perfelt!
My niece and I spent one night at the garage apartment. The property has a cozy feel and is very nice. The accommodations were very comfortable. Charmaine was quick with her responses to any messages.
First, we went on the Waco tour, and this house is a stop on the tour. So it was fun hearing about the house before we stayed inside. And then, once inside, we watched Fixer Upper, S1 Ep 2 and that made the house come to life! It's definitely worth staying here, especially if you're a fan of the show. See the shiplap up close! Charmaine was quick to respond to my questions regarding check in and check out.
Area spotty but honestly, not a soul bothered us. And in Waco, all the area is spotty. Main house is pretty on outside. Don’t know about inside. Garage house is nice outside and Inside. Inside has pretty steep stairs - just in case you don’t do stairs. But they didn’t really bother us. Kitchen small and usable downstairs, plus a powder room. You have to step up to get out of the kitchen so watch that step. I put a nightlight out so I could see it at night. I kept forgetting. Upstairs has loft living area. Small but very doable. 2 bedrooms with nice beds, but firm. Slept fine. Bathroom connects to one of the bedrooms. All-in-all we had a nice stay. It’s really best for 2 people as seating is limited. But I went with a friend and we had a pretty good trip. Would I recommend? Yes. It’s “old” but not outdated or “gross.” No bugs. Clean linens. Clean everything. And the owner is very friendly.
This property is a 2 story garage apartment. Parking was a bit tricky because there are narrow, walled entrances and exits to get into and out of the driveway. A large truck may not be able to do so. The neighborhood surrounding the house is a bit rough. There was loud music across the street and cars revving up their engines. The evening we arrived, there were other guests staying in the main house and it was difficult to park and open all 4 doors of my car because we had to park in between the two cars. Upon entering the house, we encountered an issue and contacted the owner-who responded immediately. The following day she had someone come check on the issue. However, the issue persisted and that really put a damper on our stay. The full bath has a cosmetic issue in that paint is peeling from the ceiling in large pieces. The shower feels like a power washer and it's definitely in need of a new shower curtain. The stairwell could use more lightening because it's very dark. Other than that, the two bedrooms were sufficient and we slept well. Communication with the owner was excellent! Also, it's easy to get to other places around Waco from the apartment.,

My host was very responsive and kind! She provided detailed instructions and support when ever we reached out.
Enjoyed our stay in Waco. Very well appointed rental. Beds were super comfortable. Communication with host was outstanding. She went above and beyond. Thank you for the great stay. Will definitely stay again.
We found this place on the busiest weekend of the year for Waco. The place is a little small but the hosts made everything as comfortable as they could. Cute little place and a reasonable price.
Easy check in. Exactly as described - go into kitchen and up the stairs to bedrooms and living area. Shiplap on the walls and original wood floors. Large bathroom upstairs and half bath down. Appreciated the water in the fridge.Comfy beds. Black out curtains in the bedrooms. Easy to adjust heat/air both upstairs and downstairs. Good location.
Such a cute space! It was perfect for me and my best friends to catch up after years of not seeing each other. Great location, perfect size space for the 3 of us.
