"The property was clean and beautiful. The front desk staff were really friendly, helpful and accommodating. The only thing we missed was a lake view. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Loved the spa pool"

"Our usual goto place for an upmarket stay in Taupo. This time was a little disappointing. The room 336 was showing signs of neglect with damaged fittings, scruffy paint and a slightly mouldy shower tiling. The TV looks like a low budget unit you might get from Temu and requires you to cast your own Netflix if you want to watch a movie. The breakfast was very good but the main restaurant food was not up to scratch for dinner. We mentioned the property condition at checkout and were told the property is gradually being renovated. Our room was definitely not the usual Hilton standard. We would stay again as the property is well located and has a nice outside pool but we will ask for a renovated room"

"We stayed for 3 nights. The room was a great size and well appointed with all you need for a few nights. It was clean but dated. Bathroom could use an upgrade and more attention to detail in the clean. Bed was comfortable. Spa on balcony was great (hot on night 1 but cooler on other nights). We stayed on first floor and there’s no lift so had to lug our bags up and down the stairs so people considering booking will need to keep that in mind. Parking was easy too. "

"Parking was convenient. Kitchen was basic. No staff were on-site after 7pm. We asked for clean towels and came home at night to find the dirty towels still, even though we had been told we would have clean towels left. The room had not been serviced. Rubbish bins were not emptied. There were two doors. The door to outside would not lock from outside. The door that went into an inside passage was badly fitted and the room was not very secure. We had trouble with that lock too. The room smelt musty and I found it hard to breathe at night and did not sleep well. Sadly my clothes picked up the stale smell. The price per night was exorbitant for such poor quality accomodation. We will not go there again."

"parking easy, be mindful when booking that not all rooms photographed are like the photos in the booking ad, the lovely team member did find us the same type (eg jnr suite with spa bath as per photos) we also thought it would be ground floor, as that was the booking info so she found this too. The resturant did let the place down, the menu is very basic, and wasnt particularly cooked well. We have used it in the past as a special occasion go to and its not that now so we were dissapointed in this. However the bar staff were lovely. The pool was great and heated perfectly for the weather. "

"Lots of space in the room (we were in 6A) - only issue was it was a connected room and most people only stayed one night so were up super early crashing around in the morning(could easily hear talking and the tv through the wall). Shower was very weak, beds were fine though the single in the kids room was well past it. Kitchen amenities were good and clean. Parking was a little tight but doable. Good stay but very pricey for what it is."
