"This was one of the best home rentals we've stayed at in a long time. The house was very clean and the lake view was spectacular. It was a nice & quiet area. Someone clearly lives in the house normally--there were clothes and things in the closets--but that didn't affect our stay at all. We enjoyed all the decorations and things that made it homey. Everything was comfortable, and they had extra things like a high chair (which we didn't need but would've appreciated if we did). They even left us some fresh eggs from their chickens, which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend."

"The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need. They even had two coffee makers! I loved how there were some condiments in the fridge just in case. And she also had fresh filtered water on the counter"

"I thought the neighborhood was gorgeous and safe. It was a little tricky getting to the entrance but all in all it was a very nice place. The beds were so comfy that I could look past the noise from upstairs. "

"We had a lovely time at The General's House last weekend for my wife's birthday. Tried the pool and hot tub on Friday, watched a movie in the theater room, but mostly we spent our time in the kitchen/dining/living room area. Responses from the host were quick for the few questions we had throughout the weekend. Our group will book again if we are looking for a place in the area and this location is available. "
