The hotel is very clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Location is great as it is close to restaurants and public transportation.

I thought this was a great place to stay. Convenient (I walked from Union Station to the hotel). Check in was a breeze. Courteous staff. Room was clean and modern. I had stayed at a yotel before -- so I knew how the lights, etc worked in the room (but I remember it being confusing on my first stay - which was out in Seattle). It was really pricey -- but I'm guessing there was a special event in DC - because I had seen more reasonable prices at other times. Only complaint -- the outlet built into the bed frame did not work. Otherwise A+++

What the Tabard Inn lacks in luxury, it makes up in character. A bit pricey for what you get, but has a quirky charm.

When I booked the room, I didn't realize it was also a hostel. Our private room with bath was perfect though and the location can't be beat.

Parking was safe yet expensive. Elevator service did not extend to parking levels, that can not be be acceptable. Lugging suitcases up the stairs to the lobby level is a real problem
