Water World is a diverse attraction which has something to please all members of the family, from super fast slides to attractions suitable for toddlers. There are also family-friendly amusements and more laid back options for those who just want to relax.There are three distinct play areas in the park, with a total of 49 attractions on 25 hectares. Enter via the south entrance to get maps, change into your swimming gear and put your clothes in the lockers. There's also a gift shop here, so you can pick up something to remember your day of fun on your way out.Prepare to scream on the newest addition to the park, the “hydromagnetic” Mile High Flyer. This rapid ride is much closer to a roller coaster than a water slide, and its cutting-edge technology makes water go uphill at times. There are plenty of other adrenalin-pumping amusements to choose from, including Pirates Plunge, Screamin' Mimi and Jet Stream.If you'd prefer something more chilled out, relax with The Wave or Lazy River. Younger children will delight in the area dedicated to them, which includes attractions such as Monkey Business, Clown Around Creek, Wally World and Tiger Tail. For an activity that children and parents can enjoy together, climb aboard your raft and Voyage to the Centre of the Earth in a cave with realistic robotic dinosaurs.When you've built up an appetite, there are plenty of tasty fast-food outlets to choose from. Another option is to pack up the picnic basket and enjoy your meal out on one of the perfect grassy areas or the covered pavilion.Water World is a 25-minute drive from central Denver in Federal Heights, and there is ample free parking. The park is open from May until early September. Proper swimming clothes are obligatory, and changing lockers are available on site for a small charge.
