it didnt start great , when we pulled into the car park there was an empty cider bottle, in another area empty can, also discarded masks, it wouldnt take much to ask a member of staff to go regularly to pick up after slobs.
in reception a lovely lady joyfully told us that we didnt have to book a time for breakfast we could just go down, when we did there was a queue to get into the dining room, during covid times not ideal! a timed list would be much better.
reception also tried to charge my card when i was not there for the room even though i showed them on check in that i had prepaid with Hotels.com
for the price it would be nice to have a couple of bottles of water in the room, i know its only 3 star but ...
Only a carvery available for sunday lunch, would it take much to offer sandwhiches/salads for us that dont want a big feed? if you do this is the place for you.
the saving grace of this place is the staff, they were all lovely , very helpful and well trained.
The breakfast was also good, alot of choice, except fresh juice would be nice instead of out of a carton, again not a huge cost but would make a huge difference.
overall opinion, dated, over priced, needs a visit from the hotel inspector to sort them out, lots could be done that would not cost much, when you spend €249 for one night b&b for two people i think they could do alot better and still make alot of profit, wont be coming back.
