Absolutely charming place. We upgraded to the larger room with the fireplace which came in handy with cold, rainy weather. Great view of the sea. Food in the restaurant was really good. Enjoyed having Irish Coffee on a inclement weather day. Loved our stay of 3 nights.

Staff very friendly. Hotel itself was a bit dated but well kept. Perfect for longer stay as the hotel had many spaces to lounge and relax while overlooking the sea.

But arms is an older property that is in need of a little TLC. The staff is wonderful and nice. They’re very accommodative and helpful. Location is super convenient right in the middle of Waterville with lots of dining options and services surrounding the hotel. Parking is easy and free. But the hotel just needs some work.

Very nice location close to the sea. We could hear the waves from our room. The staff was so welcoming, they really made a difference. Food was very good for dinner and breakfast. I loved the phone in the room, which was a rotary dial phone. I had not seen one of those in ages. Convenient car park. The hotel’s building is not in its best shape and deserves some love. Room and bathroom need some renovation.

Friendly Staff and Great Location

Staff is super friendly and the hotel is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Rooms were a little older, but very clean. Location is perfect for dining (on-site is great as well), walking the boardwalk and only two minutes from the golf course. Would stay here again.

We had a fabulous room (lots of space) with a fantastic view of Ballinskellings Bay. Lots of luxury touches in the room. Our dinner (and breakfast) were excellent. NO question this is an outstanding lodging.

Nice place

The hotel was a modest 3 star . The location is great but the building is tired and needs updating. Breakfast was good. I just wouldn’t claim that it was a 4 star hotel, in its heyday, maybe.

This is one of those great early 20th century hotels that has grown even better with age. All rooms are on one side of the hallways so each has an ocean view. And the accommodations, while wonderfully updated, still ooze that classy old charm! The staff (particularly Katie & Miguel) were nothing short of wonderful, and the strand and surrounding area are the stuff dream vacations are made of!
