"Marriott Baton Rouge The room was extremely clean and well maintained, which I really appreciated. However, the hallways had a noticeable, unusual smell and appear to be in need of a deep carpet cleaning and deodorizing. Another concern was the noise level. The windows did not appear to be soundproof, and even though I was staying on the 6th floor, I could hear a significant amount of highway traffic throughout my stay. Upgrading or improving the window sound insulation would make a big difference in the overall guest experience. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was excellent, but the hallway odor and significant outside noise took away from an otherwise comfortable stay."
