Ocean View Beach House in the Sand Dunes on Monterey Bay

This ocean view beach house is located in the sand dunes on Monterey Bay with a full view of the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Pajaro Valley on the other. There are decks on both sides of the house. A short trail (no road to cross) leads to the miles of sandy beach. The house is inside the Pajaro Dunes gated community with 24 hour security and common area walking/biking trails, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball court. The house is fully furnished with a complete kitchen, linens and towels and all the latest board games to enjoy in front of the gas fireplace. The kids can play without worry of cars inside Pajaro Dunes Community (no roads are between the house & the beach) Unfortunately, the Pajaro Dunes Community does not permit any guest pets.

The house location is in the center of Monterey Bay between Carmel/Monterey and Santa Cruz. San Francisco is 100 miles to the north; San Jose/Silicon Valley is less than an hour away. The closest golf is 5 minutes away and the famous courses in Monterey are less than 30 minutes away. Monterey aquarium and the Santa Cruz Boardwalk are within 1/2 hour drive. World renowned bird watching and kayaking at Elkhorn Slough is 10 minutes away in Moss Landing.

Lovely beach getaway!

We have stayed at Pajaro a few times in the smaller 1-2BR condos, but this time we were two families with 3 kids total. This was perfect for a slightly larger group and the easy access large porch(es), and views were amazing.

Family Weekend at the Beach

Perfect set up and location. Our group of 5 adults appreciated the open living area with great ocean view and easy access to the beach. The house has plenty of seating, beds are comfortable, and the deck is nice space to relax.

Wonderful House at the Beach

Our stay at Pajaro Dunes Resort was truly memorable. The beachfront location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Our rental home was spacious and well-appointed, comfortably accommodating our entire family. The floor plan, kitchen and decks made for a pleasant gathering space.

Awesome little beach house with room for everyone.

We took a family vacation to the beach and Monterey Bay Aquarium. The kids loved being so close to the beach and being able to see the ocean from the back patio. The outdoor shower was amazing after walking back and it’s warm water!

Great beach house

We enjoyed the wonderful views and easy beach access at this nice beach house. There were wonderful decks front and back. It was very well equipped and comfortable. We will definitely return again.

Peaceful with Beautiful Views

This place was great for my husband and me, our adult children and their significant others. The property was clean and in a nice area, and the kitchen had pretty much anything you would need to cook besides food. The short walk to the non crowded beach was great! We loved that it was away from the traffic of Monterey, however, because of the traffic, it did take us longer to get to destinations near and past Monterey.

Beautiful Views

We enjoyed our stay and this beach house. There was plenty of space for our family and we appreciated three separate bedrooms and bathrooms a lot. The views all the way around are beautiful. The weather was chilly and rainy so we appreciated being able to stay indoors and still see the ocean. The proximity to redwood forests/hiking as well as nearby towns was convenient. I would love to return some day!

June stay for a week

Overall very pleasant and comfortable stay with family members including 3 seniors. The layout of the house is good but you have to be able to navigate stairs. Excellent access to the beach and you can still enjoy the ocean air and views from the spacious deck or from the living room. The house is well-equipped. We liked that there were 3 bathrooms. A thumbs-up all around!

Eye Opening stay for family members

The house was perfect for our first holiday all in the same house instead of separate hotel rooms, etc. The fact that there was a bathroom for each bedroom was a big plus. The house siting and location, although not directly on the beach with no houses in front of it, it as high enough to give a glimpse of the ocean. The sand dune surrounds and separation from the other houses was a big design plus for the house also. The long deck on the ocean view side provided great outdoor space to eat, hangout and photos also.Just about everything required, was provided. Very pleased and would recommend house to anyone.

Friend Trip

I love the beach, but now I love the dunes. This was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever taken. The house was in a perfect location. I could see the ocean, i could hear the ocean and I knew I could get to the sand in a minute. The house is super cute. We try new places every year but I vote to come back here. The dunes have spoiled me. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Perfect for a respite with girlfriends

The house was perfect for our stay. Beautiful views from both sides of the house. The house was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on both decks while viewing the ocean on the west side and the slough and hills to the east. The slough was teeming with activity! Even saw a seal checking out the breakfast options during high tide. Egrets and herons usually always present. 3 very comfortable bedrooms and 3 nice bathrooms. Perfect. The kitchen was great. Very easy to find what we needed as well as nice pots and pans. I wanted to mention to anyone who is considering this house, there are lots of stairs from either parking lot to the door. This means you have to carry all your belongs and groceries etc up and down the stairs. I knew this ahead because I read the description of the property and looked at all the photos. We kept our carrying bags smaller and used smaller coolers. And got some great exercise! A very short walk to the beach from the house. We saw dolphins, otters, seals, and so many different types of shore birds. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our friend's birthday. The house was perfect for cooking together and lounging in the living room and on the deck. The proximity to the beach was the best - just steps away for miles of beach walking. The house was clean and well appointed, and the bedrooms were comfortable. We hope to be back!
