The Hotel Monopol is a lovely hotel, close to Frankfurt Hbf. The area around the hotel was a little rundown with some homelessness but not unsafe. The hotel was incredibly hot. I understand the efficiency of not requiring a/c but being there when it is hot, humid and 40+ degrees, the room was miserably hot.

Modern, stylish hotel just steps off the main pedestrian shopping street. There’s an Aldi around the corner and it’s 10 mins walk to the old town area. The Expedia VIP treat of upgrade and free breakfast is great. Lots of hotels ask you to not have the room serviced to save the planet, but here you get 2 free drinks at the bar each day if you don’t. Also, fancy Malin & Getz shampoo etc in the bathroom.

"Only stayed one night when visiting the area with a family member. We had a friendly greeting and our host spoke English. It’s a pet friendly hotel as we had a small dog with us.
