CHILDS PLAY AT THE NATIONAL ARBORETUM CANBERRA
With spectacular views across the hillside, it’s a lovely setting for the kids to burn off some excess energy and where you can sit and enjoy a cuppa.
The Arboretum is a place for learning about and growing trees. On the grounds there is the Pods playground and the National Bonsai and Penjing Garden. There is no entry fee; however, the car park has a pay station, $2.00 for an hour or $7.50 for the whole day (9am to 5pm).

"The home is beautiful and well appointed. Everything was in working order. The neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and near to the lake and embassies. We had some trouble on the day of arrival - directions were sent regarding check in about an hour prior to the check in time, and only after I reached out to the host to request them. "This historic property is so close to the shops and restaurants of Manuka that we could walk to them as if they were extensions of the house itself! Because we were in Canberra as visiting professors at ANU, our stay was an extended one, and we often worked at the house and walked over for morning and afternoon teas in Manuka. The whole neighborhood became our home, and that made it a very lively, interesting place to live."
