Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Lovely location with nice view of the river. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen not very clean with cookware in poor condition and not much of it. Communication very prompt and courteous.
We had a lovely stay on the Tuscarawas river, the view drinking my coffee right on the water in the crisp fall air was the best. We spent the night fishing by the fire-pit, thanks for the great memories!
What a wonderful property! We were greeted with a beautiful house that is well maintained. Our stay was easy and comfortable. The views off the back deck were so beautiful! The mornings spent at the kitchen table with my pup resting in the sun were so peaceful. We will happily come back again in the future!
Quaint riverside house with all the comforts of home
Older but charming home right on the river. You can see that they are making updates. Easy check in with great communication from property manager. Great place to stay when visiting Coshocton county.
We drove from Texas to spend Thanksgiving with Family. We arrived in evening and it was cold but the house was warm and homey! Loved drinking my tea in the morning and looking out over the river. Next time maybe will be there when warm and can sit out on the nice deck.
We originally had the whole weekend to stay for my daughters volleyball tournament. The tournament was a short distance from the house. Last minute the tournament was knocked down to from 2 days to 1. The host was amazing working with me days before our arrival and allowing us to shorten our stay. The house was very clean and cute. We loved the winery/restaurant not even a mile down from the house. Highly recommend staying here!
My husband and I (and our dog) loved the peaceful location right on the Tuscarawas River. It’s a quiet retreat with great porches. The yard is large and our grandkids had fun playing there. The host was very responsive with any requests we had. Nearby is a microbrewery and also, a winery within walking distance. We also rented kayaks a few miles away for a fun day. The host, Maxx and his family were friendly and helpful. Great visit!
The floors were sticky so we wore shoes the whole time. Showers need scrubbed down. All other rooms were fine. We bought a bunch of candles to mask the animal smell. Besides that, the location was great. Loved the view of the river.
The river house was a perfect setting for our weekend get away. The location is great. We were able to launch our kayaks straight into the river for some amazing fishing, swimming, and floating. The communication with the property manager was great. Easy checkin and fast replies always make the experience better. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make a couple dinners. We also enjoyed some local restaurants. This place has everything you need to enjoy making wonderful memories. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Absolutely loved staying here. We usually pick a different place every year for our anniversary trip. However this place might very well be our favorite of them all. Already looking forward to booking another trip. House was beautiful and clean. Location provided the perfect place to just relax and enjoy the scenery. Loved being on the water. We put our kayaks in right from the backyard. And the water was so clear, you could see the bottom. Host was super responsive and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable.
We enjoyed our stay at the River House. The location is absolutely fantastic with close up views of the river directly behind the house and a huge cornfield on the other side of the river. Very easy to get to and many restaurants nearby in Coshocton if you're not cooking. We appreciated the complimentary snacks, bath and body seasonal hand soap, eggs and various spices in the kitchen and miscellaneous bathroom items in case you forgot to bring something. We were so happy that you're a dog friendly rental too- our fur baby enjoyed his walks up and down the street. Cute, cozy and quiet with a fire pit to enjoy as well! The owner was also very responsive which we appreciated. We are planning on another getaway next year.
We stayed at the River House for 4 nights. Firstly, Check was smooth. Maxx ensured I had received the instructions a few days before we were set to arrive. We arrived and the home was easy to find. We walked into a warm and inviting clean house. The view of the river was just perfect. We did not have to reach out to Maxx for any issues the entire time. The Welcome book created, was waiting on the coffee table with ample information we may have needed. We enjoyed a cold evening by their fire pit, and watched the beaver building his damn, just feet from the shore. The property also welcomed out two fur babies with no hesitation! We look forward to staying again, if we find ourselves heading back to Ohio.
The place was nice and fishing was great , it was quiet and relaxing. Check in was great, the place was easy to find. The neighbor next door had invited us to fish also on his property too. Overall are family had a great time. Thank You
Overall pretty good. It might be time to replace some towels and bedding. Things are looking worn. Everything works, but it feels a little tired. We were there a couple years ago at the same time of year. The river is still beautiful and the house is just a short, scenic drive from Amish sh Country.
