Brakeman's Bay - Charming Lakefront Studio - Wheelchair Accessible

Brakeman’s Bay is a charming, wheelchair-accessible studio cabin with lake views and a covered outdoor seating area.

Featuring a standing shower, the cabin also boasts a full kitchen with a fully functioning antique stove.

This unique space offers a tranquil escape with vintage flair, inspired by the Brakemen of the historic Southern Pacific Railroad.

The rail line is still active with trains coming through on average once a day. Our newly installed windows and doors are heavily insulated to minimize noise.

Cabins all include a desk and rolling chair for those needing creative inspiration or a quiet workspace. Complimentary wifi access and tranquil views make this spot an excellent spot to check-in for work.

Fishing on the lake includes coho salmon, steelhead trout, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, perch, bluegill, and catfish. The property offers easy access to our marina, pier, docks, and boat launch. Bring your jet ski, boat, kayak or other water vessels to enjoy the day or rent one of our kayaks for a small fee. We also have one pontoon boat for rent.

Other outdoor activities include foraging for mushrooms and berries (during the seasons). There are many nearby hikes for the trail enthusiast and the ocean is a short drive away. Nearby Florence offers shopping, riverfront restaurants, and other outdoor activities like waterfall hikes, crabbing, clamming, charter fishing, and more.
