Family Cabin in Blue Lake Springs, Near Town!

"My bad in not renting a cabin with AC when summer temps were in the 90s. Despite running 11 fans, we were still hot. We also had brought our big dog, who we struggled to keep cool. The cabin's location is great, in the Blue Springs Lake community with many amenities including two private lakes, pool, pickleball, a restaurant, and much more. So close to restaurants in town and Big Trees State Park. The cabin is well-equipped and decorated with cute wall art. There is no open cupboard space to store food. Not sure how groups of 8 manage. It was nice that beach chairs and mat, and beach towels were provided."

"The house was spacious, the kitchen well equipped and the outdoor dining area amongst the beautiful trees very appealing. Two bedrooms were in the basement and were cool and dark (it was late July and very hot during the day) and comfortable for sleeping. Our kids immediately claimed the basement rooms and it made sense that the loft bedroom with King bed and attached bathroom would be for the parents. But as heat rises and there is no door, even the supplemental A/C unit set at 61 in that space seemed to struggle to cool the loft bedroom. Plus the A/C was somewhat loud, which some may like for the white noise. I tried using different settings on the A/C unit and one night just opened the windows since it cools off nicely outside at night. Anyways, the upstairs temperature could have been better but otherwise we really liked the place."

"Just a couple of things, the toilet upstairs didn’t flush most of the time without having to reach in and manually flush it like that the cooking pots and pans should be upgraded. I know it’s difficult with so many other people using them, but it would be nice to have a pan. I can flip my egg in.Otherwise, it was a very nice place to stay"

"First time in Arnold, and it did not disappoint! The cabin was in the perfect location and had everything we needed, with more than enough room for our three families. Our preteens and teens loved how convenient it was to the Natural Bridges Trail and cave, White Pines Lake, and the hiking trails at Calaveras Big Trees. After a full day of fun and exploring, coming back to relax in the jacuzzi while the kids played in the game room was the perfect way to end the day. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!"
