New Laund Hill, Whitewell, Lancashire. Looking west across the River Hodder, which runs alongside the Inn at Whitewell, towards New Laund Hill. This hill rises steeply to 229 metres above sea level. The buildings in the middle distance are the tiny hamlet of New Laund, just in the next square north. Apologies for the reflections in the window . . . the photograph was taken from the west end of the dining room in the Inn 92217.
