Staff are amazing, accommodation was beautiful and food was divine. A luxe experience all round.
Only gripe was the visa surcharge when settling the bill and the weekend surcharges at the restaurants, which seems unnecessary especially as they don’t take cash so no other way to pay. When you’re spending so much, this seems an over the top charge.
What a beautiful island, staff were amazing so polite, friendly and welcoming. Activities well organised and run. Great restaurant service and drinks brought to you at your pool side location. Rooms were beautiful, spacious and house keeping amazing. Would highly recommend Hayman Island as a must holiday, can’t wait to return. Thank you to all the staff for a great experience.
Hotel and room was amazing, but there were areas of the bathroom that needed a bit more attention to cleaning for example the shower edges. Staff were great especially Tama was the best.

Amazing location but place needs some TLC …the staff were amazing .. the food was ok the Italian place was terrible food !!
A beautiful place to relax and recharge. Plenty to do if you want to. We enjoyed our whole experience and would visit again. Thank you to all the staff and all that you do.
The location is scenically beautiful however the customer service was very poor for the duration of my entire stay. There was no welcome or arrival, I was not provided a map or oriented to the resort In addition to this, there should be

Amazing spot however the hotel did not meet our standard of a 5 star hotel. Bed was uncomfortable, air conditioning didn’t work one night, there was a tray of of cigarettes in the outdoor shower, upon arrival we had to wait 1.5 hours for our room with no access to our baggage.
All staff were 5 star and their service was amazing.
It was absolutely beautiful. The ocean and the views were amazing and the pool was very nice. Breakfast was great. Dinners were expensive and selections were somewhat limited and the first night we were told all the restaurants were full on a Monday and they did not seem that busy. Room was beautiful. Long hike to blue pearl bay for snorkeling but once there, was nice. Nice gym. I would definitely nitely come back
No words can describe how much we loved our holiday at Intercontinental Hayman Island! The staff go above and beyond to make your stay that much extra, they’re all so friendly and welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble. They have so much varieties of activity both in and out of the water and even when it’s raining they accommodate with a choice of indoor activities and movie screenings. The choice of restaurants is sufficient for the size of the resort however bookings in advance is a must! We did also find that it is a tad on the expensive side especially when you’re dining out for all your meals. (We stayed in the Pavilion and there is no option to make your own meals nor is there any food to speak off for purchase other than sandwiches, wraps etc from the gift shop) The only thing we found was there were no rubbish bins along the walk ways and at night very poorly lit. In comparison to all the positive though there really was no negative. We really were made feel special.
Setting is fabulous, outlook fantastic, food incredible. All restaurant venues quality of food was excellent.
Majority of staff were excellent, (Atama a standout).
Staff need senior management in all areas as some staff were standing around talking more than serving. (Especially at the main pool area). This is not the young kids fault but lack of investment by upper management to supply and enforce high hospitality standards

Great property but it needs modernisation and uplift.
Three restaurants only. Good quality.
No business centre
No entertainment to speak of except for same singer with sams repertoire.
Needs Newspapers and greater selection of books.
Cleaning of rooms and toilets needs improvement.
Overall, I would highly recommend staying at the Hayman Island Intercontinental resort. The property is incredibly well maintained, and the island itself is a true paradise for those looking to get away for a tropical retreat.
The only negative feedback I have about this resort comes down to the overall service provided here. While all of the staff were friendly and helpful, I found that when it came to execution, the service was lacking. There were multiple instances during my 3 day stay where our requests for were ignored or significantly delayed. As an example, it took over an hour for our drink order to be delivered even after multiple follow ups. Additionally, the food itself at the restaurants leaves a lot to be desired with the price you pay. The quality of ingredients is great, but the overall taste was very average.
I would still recommend staying here as we had a great time on the island. It's hard to complain about much when you are surrounded by incredible beauty and amazing wildlife. We stayed in a private suite and one night we had close to 30 wallabies come up to our place for a late-night dinner! Very cool experience that you can't get anywhere else.
The transfer from Hamilton Island airport to the resort was flawless, including bag collection for us, greeting by the Intercontinental staff, boarding the boat - snacks, drinks etc and transfer to the resort.
On arrival at the resort, staff were fantastic and delivered our bags to our room. Zero paperwork to do other than check in. It was again, flawless.
The room on the beach was fantastic, only one tip - keep the aircon on otherwise the floors in the room get slippery from the humidity.
Rooms clean, free Hayman bottles and bag for the resort. Loved it. Greeting note for my 40th on the bed with a nice welcome card.
Gym, yoga class were great - loved the Yoga teacher.
Breakfast - good selection, minus fruit flies on the vegetables and fruit for juicing. Fresh made omelette was great.
Drawbacks - after speaking to ALOT of guests during our stay, the main feedback was the food was average.
They were understaffed in the Pacific restaurant, tables for two are tiny and literally no room for plates. The meals are expensive $68 for a steak. And to be fair, I’ve had much better at Hurricanes in Sydney for $40.
The Brussel sprouts undercooked, my prawn cocktail had the poo shooter in each, they were not fresh at all.
The chips arrived on a plate. The display was average. At a 5 star resort, you expect a level of high grade food and waiter experience. It was average. Every guest we spoke to said the same thing and were disappointed.
Bam bam was the only saving grace.
