Nice holiday home

The holiday home is in a great location, close to Amsterdam. The house is nicely furnished. All in all it is a nice holiday home! Communication with Rob was hassle free! We recommend.

Large house, good for 7 persons but some improvements to be made to have a comfortable and pleasant moment: dusty, lights not bright, water power very low in the bathrooms.

A beautiful Netherlands retreat

The rental is attached to the main house and is truly wonderful. Beautiful sunsets and plenty of room for everyone. We came with 10 people and were comfortable. The bedroom downstairs was perfect for us and the bed was nice and hard(I don’t like a super soft bed). There were all kinds of seasonings and drinks in the fridge for the folks who like to cook. It’s close to the Zaanse Schans and very close to just about everything. We were all very pleased.

Disappointing

Although the house potentially is nice in effect there were too many problems such as:Very dark interior with lack of lights and several broken lights. Warm water did not have sufficient pressure for shower or bath. one of our group managed to fill the bath up to his ankles. That took one hour. The others gave up. The electrical installation kept on shorting out particularly the circuit of the fridge (!!) Not ideal over Xmas. The landlord at our suggestion provided an extension cable which we ran into one of the bedrooms to connect to a more reliable circuit. This meant that it was no longer possible to close the door of that room. The open circular staircase is a hazard for small children. We pointed this out to the landlord and he promised to provide a panel to close access to the staircase but this never materialized. All bedsheets although having been laundered were EXTREMELY wrinkled….. Some of the matresses dated from before the great war. To date we did not receive the respective invoice.

Ferienhaus Wijdewormer

Wir waren 5 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder und es waren noch 2 Betten frei. Es war sauber, groß und warm. Die Beleuchtung jedoch war unterdurchschnittlich. Rasieren im Bad war unmöglich. In der Hausbeschreibung stehen Whirlpool, Waschmaschine, Wäschetrockner - gibt es alles nicht, selbst der Herd ist eine Große Microwelle. Ansonsten schöne Lage, 15km bis P+R Amsterdam.

Schöner Kurzurlaub in urigem Ferienhaus

Das Ferienhaus hat super Lage, nah an Amsterdam und Purmerend zum schnellen einkaufen ist auch super nah. Das Haus ist schön Urig und mit allerlei Kuriositäten eingerichtet, was seinen ganz eigenen Charme hatte! Es war noch etwas staubig, hätte etwas sauberer sein können, aber alles in allem war es ein schönes Ferienhaus! Bei Fragen war Rob sofort zu stelle! :) Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Great stay in North Holland!

This house is a beautiful, rustic property inside a former cheese factory. The interior has accents of brick and wood, along with several antiques. The property is located amidst spacious farmland for quiet country living, but is convenient to Amsterdam and centrally located for other small towns to visit in North Holland. The grounds have a nice outdoor space and gardens for relaxing enjoyment of the scenery and beautiful sunsets. There are also several toys and a swing set for young guests to enjoy. Rob and Pauline are wonderful hosts. They made us feel at home, were very flexible with arrival/departure, and offered many extra touches such as offering the use of bicycles. This is a great place to stay when visiting Holland - highly recommended!

Wonderful

We spent a month in Rob´s house in the countryside, the children enjoyed the place as much as the adults and the dogs. Rob is a very attentive host. And we were lucky with the weather! I recommend it with no reservations.

Uitwaaien op platteland op steenworp vd stad

Met ons grote, Parijse gezin hebben we intens genoten om zowel van de rust en het uitleven op het platteland, als het bezoeken van steden en toeristische bezienswaardigheden (oa Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Marken) op een steenworp afstand. Het sfeervolle, ruime huis heeft een wonderbaarlijk ver uitzicht, heerlijke bedden, is van vrijwel alle gemakken voorzien. Het is een paradijs voor onze kinderen; Spelletjes, stapelbed, babybed, tv, maar ook schapen en eenden voor de deur en een flinke tuin. Toen het zonnig weer het liet afweten, raakten we niet op het huis uitgekeken met speelse doorkijkjes, kunst en curiosa. Wellicht wat keukengerei en evt. traphek ontbreken, verder viel er niets op aan te merken. Bovendien waren Rob en Pauline bijzonder gastvrij en reactief om het ons zo goed mogelijk naar de zin de maken. Hartelijk dank! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!
