"From the time we check in, to the time we check out, the Merriweather Lakehouse was nothing short of amazing. Izabella greeted us with a warm smile and was helpful in every aspect of our check in. When I mentioned I was there because I was getting married the next day, she extended warm wishes and presented me with a nice welcoming gift! I had several family members who flew in on the day of my wedding. The director of guest services and Jermaine offered my family an are in the hotel where they could change and freshen up! That's top tier customer service and it was greatly appreciated. Jermaine was very pleasant and continuously asked me if there was anything else he could do to help us out during the check out process. He definitely was there to help make things go smooth for me that day! If you are ever in the Columbia area and need a hotel who is going to care about the customer, do yourself a favor and stay here!!!"

"Loved the location - super convenient to restaurants and outdoor lounging areas. The pool, patio, and lounge areas were beautiful and the location offered a great gym and sports simulator. Lost a star because the check-in directions were not clear - took over 30 minutes 2 calls to owner to figure this out. Lost a star because there was an "Ejection notice" taped to the door of the unit. Lost a star because there wasn't toilet paper, paper towels, basic staples - had to go buy them for ourselves. Lost a star because the unit was disheveled and messy (not unclean, but messy) - eg. the beds weren't made. We washed the sheets to confirm they were clean. Regained a star because the owner refunded a portion of the fee due to all of the above. "
