"Such a fun cabin for me and my wife! Location is excellent. We are at Arch Ray, then enjoyed wine and spirits. You can walk there if you want, it is so close. Everything was clean and ready to go. Bed was super cozy. Love the old structure of the building. Easy communication with the owner. We would definitely recommend staying, and we hope to make it back someday soon!"

"The Bluebonnet cabin was charming and had a cozy feeling. There are plenty of dishes and utensils. Has a crock pot, hotplate, microwave/convection oven and toaster so if you just want to veg then this can be your home away from home. There was a grill outside for cooking steaks. Plenty of towels and had soap and shampoo/ conditioner available if you didn't want to bring your own. If you like a firm bed then this is where you will want to stay. They even have a pull out couch. Air conditioning works great. The porch has rocking chairs for when you wanted to take a morning coffee out to enjoy the fantastic view, or to watch humming birds and you can barely hear the highway noise. The property has views from every angle and there is a hidden outdoor chapel that has a large wooden swing seat that is about 5.5 feet long. Our granddaughter and I swung on it with room to spare. TV's in each bedroom as well as living area. Close to Fredericksburg with the Wild seed farm right across from the property. Be mindful when cutting across the grass because there is grass stickers, after all it is country. There are cows which roam freely so you have to watch for them. We enjoyed our 4 day 3 night stay and would definitely would stay again."

"The house was great! My daughters, granddaughters, and I stayed very comfortably in the three bedrooms. All that was needed was available. I would just suggest adding Kleenex in the bathrooms. That was all I could see was missing. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen looked well furnished. The large family room was great for us to sit and relax. Had we stayed another day or two, we definitely would have tried the spa and fire pit areas. But, shopping took up all our time on this trip! Next trip, we hope!"

"Henry was an amazing host. He took time to talk to us and about the property and the local area. The cottage was so cute and it was beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided. We will definitely come back and would recommend this place!"

"We have stayed at settlers Crossing twice before and enjoyed the property proper immensely if you love old homes 1800 mid early to 1800s you’ll love all of the homes that you may rent. The furnishings are a period appropriate and it’s a little rustic but if you love that look, it can be very relaxing. The homes are secluded in a 35 acre plot of land lots of trees, sheep walk freely in the area. I even saw a donkey and a number of Whitetail deer very enjoyable just minutes outside of Fredericksburg. Lots to do many wineries to visit. Can’t recommend it more highly particularly if you are a lover of old homes mid eighteen century furniture. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace."
