Hello, we drove 2 days from Texas to visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. We had an amazing time at both Museums and a comfy stay here in Williamstown.
It’s a shame there was an ant issue and neighbor dogs barking all hours behind the house because otherwise the place was pretty much as expected. The location to The Ark Encounter was great, which was the reason for our trip as a bucket list visit for my elderly father. The dogs were disruptive to our sleep so we left a day early. Because of this, I asked for a partial refund which the company says is under review but I haven’t received an answer yet.
We enjoyed our stay. This must be a new rental. It could use a few tweaks...nothing that would prevent a 2nd stay. Several doors swing the wrong way making the light switch hard to access. The fridge door also. The curtain goes into the fridge & very hard to access. No coffee table. We used the bench from the dining room set. Only mirror is in the bathroom. This makes the bathroom the only place to fix hair & makeup. This can cause hold ups.. But overall it was very clean. The host was in constant communication...answering our every need promptly. We liked being out of town and still only minutes away from town. Friendly area. Beautiful country!
The bad is that the GPS and the directions that were given actually take you on Meadowlark which takes you to a residence that had a very unhappy man who didn’t like us being on his property.
We had to drive back to town to get a signal to call someone. Grand Welcome gave us the same directions that our GPS said. If you go do not take a left on Meadowlark, keep going straight on the gravel road that you were on and you will find the house on the right. It looks like you are going to someone’s residence, but the road curves to the left and will take you to the rental.
The other bad thing was the camper that you passed, which is right beside you and it is very trashy but we never saw anyone and never had any trouble out of the person living there.
The good is that the house is just like the owners describe it. It is very clean and everything seems new. The beds are comfortable and you have everything that you will need in the house for your stay. It could sleep 6 but there isn’t really room for 6 people to sit in the living room.
All in all I would stay here again if I ever visited Kentucky.
We were only 15 minutes from the Ark Encounter. Yet located in a beautiful quiet area. 45 minutes from the Creation Museum which was nice. Overall exactly what we needed for our vacation.
Our stay was wonderful. I might make a small suggestion that you place mirrors in the bedrooms. Otherwise the place was excellent.

Cute place just not for people with walking disabilities...nosey from kennel from behind across im assuming across river..long ways from town..couch rock hard..beds comfy..if ya want country seclusion this it..no place to grill or have pit fire..back yard too steep ..but everyones opinion not the same
Beautiful property and house. Renovated kitchen and bathroom. Comfortable bedrooms. Kitchen materials readily available as well as bathroom materials. Host was easy to reach for communication regarding slight wifi issue. View was great. We saw rabbits and squirrels in our front yard. Quiet and peaceful. 10mins from Ark Encounter and about 30-35 mins from the Creation Museum. Would love to return!
