"Great place to stay close to sugar mountain "

"This was an amazing stay and such an ideal location. Hikers hideout was no joke! It was ideally located for all of our hiking needs. We had a short 10 minute drive to Hawksbill for Sunrise and a day of hiking. Also located very close to Upper Creek Falls and Brown Mountain overlook on Blue Ridge Parkway. I would say that if you plan on hiking on the 210 side of the Gorge, this is such an ideal location. The house was so unique in the decorations and really making a hiker feel welcomed. Just a purrfect stay!"

"We live a busy on the go life and needed a slow down from such a fast paced life. This cabin was the perfect spot to unplug, slow down and enjoy life in a simple way. The solitude and nature with the sound of the river running was calming, relaxing and very much welcomed.The cabin is clean, updated and absolutely wonderful!!!Will be going again soon when life gets loud!"

"Let me start by saying Isabel is the best, most responsive, host I’ve ever dealt with. Every question - immediately answered. Every detail - handled precisely. Positive responses with top notch hospitality. Went above and beyond both before my trip and during. You don’t find this often. The house was great. The layout was so nice for privacy and comfort. It’s long and wide. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed. There were 3 separate seating areas plus bar stools. We had an issue with hot water but it was resolved right away. There is a small washing machine and dryer which worked just fine even if we did more loads. There is are tons of games and puzzles plus outdoor things to do in the yard including the Zipline. I will say that the only thing I think I would change is making sure each bedroom has a tv. There’s a tv in only one bedroom so we sometimes fell asleep on the couch trying to relax at the end of the day and I wish that was in a bed. We saw deer multiple times walking through the pastures and enjoyed the multiple fire pits as well. Perfect location for a family vacation - even if you don’t get to see the snow you hoped for! There’s always next time :)"

"We had a wonderful stay. The view was amazing! The house was clean and we enjoyed every bit of the dwelling from the hot tub to the theater room. My family and I were there for a Christmas vacation and we had a wonderful time!"

"Host answered all our questions and needs in a very quick manner. Firepits are a family favorite and this one was probably the best we’ve ever had. Never had such a view except at The Little Switzerland Inn near Spruce Pine.The home was a perfect fit for us, our three kids and their families. Lots of room, all on one level."

"We stayed over the weekend and it was pretty great. But you definitely have to rely on the woodstove for heat. It stayed 62 in the living room, kitchen and bathroom. But the hot tub was nice. Would definitely stay again. "
