"The hotel is tucked away behind a wall around the property and across the road from the new Dickinson Hill stadium. Staff were brilliant, the place is massive inside, cavernous passages and awesomely huge rooms. The on site restaurant was great, food was very good and the bar well stocked and served by very polite staff. We will definitely stay there again."

"Booked for 1 night stay whilst in Chester, check in was smooth and very friendly staff on reception. We requested a late check out of 1pm and this was accommodated without any issues. We were escorted to the room which was an Executive room but it was extremely dated and curtains needed to be fixed (which we did ourselves). The bathroom had silicone everywhere and just needed to be brought up to date. Did not look like the photos on line at all. It was clean overall and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and all of the food was fresh although the restaurant furniture where we were sat did have cosmetic issues with damaged sofas that were ripped etc. Following breakfast we went back to the room but were startled by the fire alarm which was a test but we were not advised this during check in. At 11:30 the cleaning staff pressed the door bell and entered into the bedroom despite a late check out being booked. When we advised we had a late check out booked she left but then proceeded to bang the hoover against the door and was rude to us so much so that we packed up and left the room and the cleaner was rude once again! We did make a complaint to reception on check out who did credit the late check out fee but this kind of treatment from the cleaning staff at a hotel of this rating is really not acceptable and tarnished our stay. In essence the hotel could be out of this world but it needs investment and better cleaners!"

"Hotel is lovely and clean. The staff are very friendly. The only problem is you have to pay for the gym and Paul separately. I think it was £20 for two hours."

"We had a late arrival 1am after our flight in to Liverpool. Two guys on reception with the warmest welcome you could wish for. The room was small but ok. It had a sofa bed in it that the hotel had made ready even though I rang to say we only need the double bed not the sofa too. This took up so much of the space it was cramped even for just two people how you would expect more people to be comfortable is beyond the imagination. Breakfast staff were pleasant though the breakfast wasn’t up to much. Hard rubber eggs well done bacon cold mushrooms. The lady on reception when we checked out was very pleasant. "

"Accommodation was acceptable. Disappointed that there was no facility to sit in a lounge for a coffee etc outside of bar opening times. I would have liked to sit in the lounge and enjoy a coffee/drink but nothing available until midday. The shower was over the bath but handle on bath were not secure so unsafe."

"Super handy and really good stay - 2 day stag do with Grand National as the main event! Hotel location is brilliant for Lime Street, Liv Central and all the central bars. My room (double) was very nice but lads in the twins found it quite basic. On-site bar / pub is great to get going - low prices. Value was ok for Grand National weekend but a bit steep otherwise."
