"The property is a modernized old farm house. I reiterate its an old farm house and it fits the description perfectly.This property is in the country. That being said, that was the appeal for us in choosing this property. Probably 25 mintues to Galena and 40 to Dubuque. The views are spectacular. Its quiet, actually I expected some early farming activity, but other than cattle feeding which was not loud or disruptive there wasn't any on our visit. The cattle/cows are to the west and east of...

"LOVELY PLACE! 3 comfy beds, nice bathrooms, living toom & large dining table easily accommodated our group. The kitchen was well stocked for us to prepare our meals. Great location, easy walking around the fun town!!"

"The rental is the lower part of the house. Beautifully remodeled. Very comfortable. It had everything we needed. The host even welcomed us and gifted us a charcuterie board and bottle of wine. Top notch host! The grounds are beautiful as well. The home was in a great location! We highly recommend!"

"The property is stunning! Hiking trails right off the front door that are nicely maintained. The house is clean and like home away from home, everything you could need is provided. The owner lives on the property, far enough away you dont even know they are there, but close enough to help if needed. Pets are welcome, just beware there are no fenced areas and wild animals abound. There is even a paddock for horses, it would fit four horses comfortably and is fully grassed with a water trough, however, I would bring electrical fencing to keep the horses off the fencing there. The other nice thing is the property is tucked away from main roads and has only a private drive entrance."

"We had a wonderful stay in a peaceful and quiet environment. We could take a day trip to the local communities and then head back to have quality time without any disturbances. The walking paths on the property were great with a wide variety of plants and animals from the valley floor to the top of the ridge. The cabin was as described, and we had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. We will be back in the future."
