Simple beauty on the ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A sweet ocean front cottage with everything needed - perfectly positioned for hearing and seeing the surf, both indoors and out. We enjoyed hiking to the beach and along miles of forest and coast line, and loved the window seat while playing backgammon.

Cozy, comfortable home

This cozy, studio home is perfectly located for walking to the center of Yachats or along the 804 trail. The view is stunning whether from inside or on the bench along the cliff. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed comfortable. There is a well placed mat for putting wet shoes right inside the main door. I hope to return before the year is out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Breakers is our absolute favorite ocean get-a-way. As soon as we pull in the carport all the stress of life goes away. This cabin is cozy, cheerful, clean and it just "feels like home". You can tell the owners take pride and care in making this cabin a comfortable place to relax and reset life. It is a short walk to town with pubs, fun restaurants, shops and the grocery store. What's better than walks on the beach, exploring tide pools and listening to the crashing ocean waves all night. We have been staying here for over 20 years and plan to come back every year.

Litttle Cabin by the Sea

A near perfect little space right on the ocean, fantastic view and surprisingly great privacy while being conveniently located right in Yachats. Loved it! We'll be back, and... it is Pet Friendly!!! (wish the fireplace worked, but the fake one is fine). I Highly recommend this little red cabin by the sea!

Stunning spot!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was great. The location could not be better. It was a perfect solo getaway. With the exception of the kitchen cupboards and the dishes, the house was very clean. Guests are responsible for washing dishes and unfortunately the guests prior to me did not do a great job cleaning the dishes so I had to rewash everything before I used it, which was a frustrating way to begin my trip. The inside of the kitchen cupboards and drawers were also overdue a cleaning. It was a little difficult to sleep in because the shades block bright sun, but not light (though the incredible view makes up for that). The property’s information binder was also not in a very visible spot, which was a minor frustration since I had to find it in order to login to the WiFi because the arrival information included the password, but not the name of the network. But I would definitely rent this house again! It’s a peaceful, comfortable and private feeling spot.

Great place with exceptions

House very well equipped—especially the kitchen—except for seating. There are two chairs for ocean watching that are so uncomfortable we couldn’t sit on them. Couch was a better but not in a prime ocean-watching spot. Second problem was with house key which only worked on the deadbolt. If we hadn’t checked it out, we could easily have locked ourselves out. Then the key stopped working on the deadbolt lock. We put some oil on it and got it to work again. Whew! There is a front door, too, but the key doesn’t work for it at all. We felt some anxiety around the situation from a safety and access standpoint. The towels seem to have been put away before they were totally dry, and some were unusable because of an awful musty smell. The house is charming and has a spectacular ocean view from a big bank of windows across the entire width of the house. The pros about the house are very nice, but the cons are quite disappointing.

The Best Thus Far

It exceeded any expectations in that we were both mesmerized by the wave action and spent very little time away from both high and low tides. And we keep returning to The Breakers ("the little red house") because it is perfect, in every way - for us. So homey and comfortable, simple, dog friendly. The bed and couch are comfy, the kitchen has everything we'd ever need. The decor is personal and welcoming. Like coming home, but without the 'to-do' list!

Spectacular ocean view and very walkable to beach and town!

Enjoyed it all right on the beach.. walking forever with the dog and friend at low tide just out the front door. Fabulous kitchen with a view. Jacuzzi tub in one bathroom, and awesome master bathroom with a view.Then to top it off a rooftop hot tub to star gaze while soaking.There was a little issue at check in and management responded immediately and took care of us so well… everything was perfect

We love the Breakers !!!

Perfect house for the 2 of us, for the end of January we had perfect weather. I can see why the Breakers is almost never available so happy we finally got the chance to stay here for our 19th year together!!!
