Outstanding place in the heart of Shibu Onsen. A genuine Japanese experience. A friendly, competent staff.

Service is "Japanese style", means extraordinary. Just wow! excellent dinner. Breakfast is less suitable for us, but it was traditional, so expected. Cleaning is just perfect.

Excellent stay. Amazing dinner and breakfast included, extremelly professional service. Perfect value for money.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. The onsen were a lot of fun. Would absolutely recommend a stay here.

A lovely cosey place to stay if you are visiting the Snow Monkey Park. We walked from the ryokan to the park, it took about 30 minutes to the gate and I am a slow walker. A nice town to wander around if you have the time.

They provide yukata (Japanese summer dress) and you can experience in your room the whole Japanese tea on the tatami (They have warm water and tea for you). The couple running the hotel is lovely. They provided us a free ride to the monkey park. The breakfast is ok. The futon is more comfortable than we were thinking before we slept. The way to the bathroom and the toilets itself is...

What an amazing hotel! If you have the chance to stay here, take it! It is perfectly located for visiting the snow monkeys. Upon arrival, the staff was very kind and offered us a ride to the monkeys, and during the stay they did everything to make us feel welcome. And the food....just amazing! I have celiac disease (can't eat gluten), and they served me very good food that I could eat without any problem or having to worry. The bath was also really good, with options both for indoor and...

We came here to experience the Onsen town and the famous monkey park. Our hosts were fantastic and could not have been more helpful. They collected us from the train station and dropped us to and from the monkey park. The friendliness and warmth of the staff of the ryokan made the stay that little bit more special. The building itself is older but feels very authentic as a result and the presence of a private onsen was great at the end of a long day. Would reccomend staying here to anyone...
