"about a 10-minute walk into town, and we enjoyed dinner at the on-site restaurant. The hotel was clean and well maintained overall. Unfortunately, our room had a gross stain on the headboard. I asked the staff the following morning to have it cleaned, but when we returned to the room, it appeared to have been barely cleaned, if at all, or the stain simply couldn’t be removed. I mentioned it again at checkout, and while the staff were apologetic, no further action was taken. Hopefully, it was cleaned properly before the next guest arrived. Overall, a good stay, but the cleanliness issue was disappointing."

"We stayed at Northwinds Basecamp for 2 nights. The facilities were clean, and the room was well stocked with extra supplies such as tissues and toilet rolls, which was a nice touch. The location is convenient, close to Canmore town, making it easy to get around. Two complimentary bottles of water were provided upon check-in. However, when I requested an extra bottle during our 2-night stay, I was told that it would cost $2.50 per bottle. I was quite surprised by this, considering the room rate we were paying. It would have been more reasonable to provide complimentary drinking water throughout the stay. One thing to note is that there is no lift, so guests staying on the second floor will need to carry their luggage up the stairs. Overall, the facilities were clean and the location was convenient, but the additional charge for drinking water was disappointing."

"Having stayed on the property recently, I am able to compare both stays. The first time, I love the room. 2 bdr/2bthr suite. Beautifully laid out. My only complaint was the bathtub. It is deep, which is nice, but for people with short legs, like myself, I almost needed a stool to step into the tub. The tub bottom also got really slippery when showering. This time around, yes, tub is still deep, but no longer slippery. Everything about the property is amazing. Views, quiet location, everything."

"Thank you, Bill for offering this lovely property for our trip to the area. Canmore was an unexpected delight. The condo was comfortable and well appointed. The surrounding property perfect. We highly recommend the Black Dog coffee shop along with their homemade sausage rolls and friendly owners! The easy walk along the boardwalk to town was beautiful. There were so many options for yummy meals. A perfect location to home base for trips to Banff and Lake Louise."

The unit is very clean and comfortable with close access to the lobby, pool and hot tub. The Black Dog cafe has delicious coffee and various pastries. We really enjoyed staying at this resort and the weather was perfect as an added bonus."
