Was great to be here at the end of the season in that the crowds were relatively small. However, the staff was clearly ready to leave; significantly, the food services were low on food and food options. Maybe this is understandable as they need to limit leftovers but it was annoying none the less.

While we enjoyed our overall stay at the charming Old Faithful Inn, we were unaware of the lack of food options in and around the hotel. This was our first visit to Yellowstone Park and we knew there may not be many locations to choose from, however we were surprised and caught off guard to learn that the only dining option at the hotel was a reservation only buffet. For the 2 nights of our stay, the earliest reservations left were for 9:45pm. Who wants to eat a buffet that late? We also were not able to find a place for breakfast the next morning, and ended up eating disgusting convenience store items from the general store. The experience in and around Old Faithful was wonderful, but dining and food options left much to be desired.

What a mistake to stay at the Old Faithfull Inn in Yellowstone Park. The only thing good about the stay was it was in walking distance to many of the geysers. The Room was dirty and very small with a poor dirty mold shower that I refused to use. The maim lodge itself is very nice and historic. The Food & Beverage is very poor and very expensive. The Hospitality Operator ( XANTERRA ) does a dis-service to the property. The hotel front desk has no customer service since I had ordered my stay on Hotels.com. The property at check out would not print me a check-out statement showing a zero balance. Hotel Mgr refused to give a invoice and further said they would not print my room folio. Horrible stay and will never stay where they are the operator of property.

The hotel room was furnished in cheap, what seemed 1960’s furniture. The carpet in our room was disgusting - - full of stains. We stayed in October and there was no dining options available — no bar menu and the dining g room was closed. Had to go to neighboring hotel if you wanted dinner which had and 1 1/2 hour wait given it was accommodating guests from two hotels. And for the rate we were paying, felt the foregoing was unacceptable. On the positive side, Kim, who checked us in was delightful and full of information as was most of the staff we encountered. And, of course, the location to the Old Faithful geyser and surrounding geysers was amazing. However I find it hard to be able to recommend this hotel.

All you get is proximity to geysers. I've had better rooms at far less pricey inns. Limited restaurant options. My room was 200 yards from lobby.

The room felt like sleeping in the basement. The door had to be slammed, the floor was stained and sticky. The pictures are not accurate at all. I would not stay there again.

I already knew what I was getting into based on the reviews, however the place is pretty dismal! Not sure why so many people pay $500 for such an old run down hotel. The only reason I stayed here was because I had limited time and wanted to start my treck early in the middle of the park! The food is what blew my mind! It is terrible! It was probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to! The rooms have no AC, just a final fan, no tv, no internet and it looks like and old grandmas room which was never remodelled. Not sure why they use these terrible pillows which are like balloons. Shower head had no water pressure! The worst hotel alongside the worst restaurant I’ve been to!

Room was okay except for our little Mickey Mouse visitor, hard to sleep wondering if he was climbing in bed with us. Not being told you have to make reservations for the dining room made us use the Bear Pit bar (I think that was the name) along with many others, it took forever to get our food and then it was cold. Very short staffed for food service.

When you walk into the Inn, it is without a doubt, beautiful, however, we pd over $500 for a room in the basement! It felt like we were on the titantic..with all the rich people on the top floors and the poor people in the hull of the boat. Would never recommend this Inn.

Very Disappointed! Arrived about 7 pm after great day in Yellowstone. Immediately ran into problems- no parking left in lot outside hotel, cars were circling, was lucky to grab spot 1/4 mile down road at store. Bigger problem # 2- only restaurant at hotel takes reservations and was full, informed reservations close out early everyday. Choice to have burger in their bar or walk to snow lodge property which does not take reservations. Walked 1/4 mile to snow lodge- of course they were packed and on 45 minute wait, Did get a drink there and finally dinner near 10 pm. Room in west wing was not historic log like but rather dingy white and much in need of updating. Recommend you stay somewhere else!

I spent this junior suite for over $1.2k for 4 adult. Honestly, I was little disappointed. I recommend suite 2Q with adding more few charge, or split to 2 rooms. However, of course this is very historical great heritage hotel, and I had good experience in the dining and beer bar, including near hotel "Old Faithful Snow Lodge".

Can I get a fitted sheet?
I loved the history of the inn! It was like being transported back in time. You could watch Old Faithful doing its thing right from the inn's front porch. The convenience to the many natural wonders surrounding the inn was wonderful and that is where the positive points end. The restaurant was completely overpriced, and the quality was lacking. Once again, as with every place we stayed in the park, the bathroom floor was disgusting! I gagged when I first walked in there with bare feet. Can someone PLEASE provide the staff with brooms and mops? Or at least a Swiffer. Also, what is the deal with 4 tiny pillows on each bed and no fitted sheet? It's gross! An absolute rip off. You would think for the amount they charge their patrons they could at least invest in fitted sheets!

The Inn is beautiful however the room left something to be desired. We had a mouse in our room that kept us up all night and scared my wife. Room was marginal at best. The Inn lobby is magnificent but our room was old, outdated, no services and a critter with us all night.

We were expecting to have to make allowances, being as the hotel is over 100 years old. We chose this for the experience of staying in the iconic Old Faithful Inn. But overall, it just was not worth the $550 rate. Tiny room, tiny bathroom, tiny shower, no TV, no internet, no fridge, no AC. The restaurant food and service was terrible.

Don't Waste Your Money
Shockingly run down place with no internet access! The room was not ready at 4pm and was still dirty. Bathroom floor was dirty and the coffee maker counter still had spilled sugar all over. Catpet had stains all over. No A/C and you cannot fully open the window. Little fan was disgustingly covered with dust. This hotel needs major updating and definitely not worth $600 per night. I regret not reading the reviews before booking this. Location was great but that's it.

If staying in this historical inn is on your must do list or your itinerary must put you at this property for the schedule, then yes, you shall just pick it. But if you have choice or you expect the 500 night rate is a high end accommodation or service, then you will be very disappointed. Amenities is worse than typical motel, in fact, we gave up the last night and went to a motel just outside the park, it has way better services and cost less than half. Service is terrible in the sense of there is not even more than a piece of map to tell you what you can do around that hotel. No TV and no Internet is well known. But room cleanup every 4 days, and no one show up to replace towel even requested. That you shall be aware too. I really think that this has a lot to do with the Park is subcontracting the management of the hotel to a private company, and that contractual relationship is not going to put service at the top of the list. I won't recommend this at all to anyone unless for the 2 reasons I listed above.

NOT WORTH IT! No AC, no Wi-Fi, no tv, not able to find a parking space. Our room did have a bathroom but we discovered most don’t and only have access to community bathroom. The restaurant was inadequate and we still had to wait in a huge line even with reservations. All the food was dry or overcooked and they weren’t able to keep the buffet stocked. Money would have been much better spent next door at the lodge for food and room. Don’t stay here!
