"This is an amazing property………Classic somerset cottage equipped with all modern conveniences. Super quiet (well a few tractors collecting the harvest!). We all slept very well. It takes 30 mins to walk into Ilminster along a country trail past Dillington Hall for those that like a good walk. About 8 mins by car. "The Swan Inn is in an ideal location to all notable amenities within the City of Wells. I found that there were plenty of car parking spaces at the hotel. The rooms within the establishment I feel are dated, windows not opening or closing properly, extractor fan in the bathroom not working, and dated furnishings. However, do not let these minor issues put you off from staying. The staff are excellent, and very attentive, the room’s even thou are dated are comfortable, with great bedding. As stated the location is fabulous. The breakfast here is good quality and there is plenty of choice. I would recommend this hotel, and I will be staying again in the future. Thanks."

"Wasn’t disappointed, booked this as it had good reviews and all I can say is they are all true. Staff are so friendly it was lovely. Room had everything that you could need. We had a room overlooking the car park. (Plenty of free parking for residents) We could hear the road, however, we had the window open as we were very warm and it wasn’t busy overnight. Breakfast was very nice, fresh and plenty of it. We didn’t eat in the evening, however if breakfast is anything to go by we will be on our next stay.All in all, we will be going back. Due to location we could walk to the hospital (which is why we chose this) also walking distance to the main town - even though it is up and down a few hills but a pleasant walk."
