"All staff were very friendly and welcoming. A very unique property. Our room had a small private balcony where we had a limited ocean view. The window shades could be a bit darker. There was lemon water always available in the lobby as well as tea and coffee. The breakfast, which included hot items and fresh baked goods, was fantastic."

"Annually we go on an extended family vacation. This was the 1st 4 generation trip and our first one to Maine. We’re so glad we stayed at The Briars. Everyone in our large group had their own space. It’s a wonderful location… short walk to the beach, ice cream shop, and bagels/breakfast. We took many strolls through the beautiful neighborhood, Fisherman’s walk, & the Wiggly Bridge (it’s gorgeous at sunset). Parking was not a problem. At one point, we had 6 cars in the driveway… and could have fit 1 or 2 more. The yard was big enough to accommodate our annual “family Olympics” and we enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. Lance was an exceptional host. He stopped by with a bottle of wine to meet us and even dropped off his lobster crackers when we couldn’t find the ones in the rental. Saved the day for our lobster feast! The rental crackers were later found under a large pot. Overall, it was a memorable vacation and we would love to stay here again if a future family vacation is in Maine."

"We truly could not have asked for a better place to stay! We booked this home for our pre-wedding trip with a large group, and it ended up being one of the best weekends of our lives. The house was absolutely perfect for us — beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and such a special place to spend the weekend together.Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. Having a space where our whole group could be together made the weekend so memorable, and we made memories here that we will genuinely talk about forever. The house was exactly what we hoped for when planning such an important weekend, and we were so sad to leave!We cannot recommend this property enough, especially for a group looking for somewhere special to celebrate and spend quality time together. Thank you for giving us the perfect home base for such an unforgettable weekend. We would come back in a heartbeat!"

"We have rented this lovely house for 3 years now, and always enjoy ourselves. The large dining table with harbor view, several seating areas including the sun room, and local beach are great for the three generations of our family. Phillip, the house manager, is attentive and helpful. We’ll be returning next summer."

"Our family had an amazing stay! We had everything we needed, and the host was super accommodating and responsive. The house was spotless, no weird smells, and not a speck of dust. The backyard was so peaceful and fun – the kids especially loved the pool and tire swing! My only suggestion would be to add TVs in every room for nighttime unwinding, but overall, we were thrilled with everything!"

"This was our second year coming here, and it was just as magical as it was the first time. The view from your bedroom, the sliding glass doors to go out to the deck. The beautiful breakfast choices in the morning. The incredible loving staff. The amenities to enjoy outdoors. Quiet location, we can’t wait to go back next year for our third year."
