The room smelled really bad when we first walked in. Found the trash can was full (including dirty diapers). The window was left open (assuming they were airing it out). Dishwasher wasn’t emptied as well. The staff handled the issue immediately and we appreciate their efforts.

They were very short staffed during our stay so there were a lot of issues. We weren’t able to check in on time and they did not have enough bedding for the room we were in (housekeeping never responded). Private 2,000 Sq Ft Cottage in Historic Yorktown- w/ trolley access
Everything was great. Clean. Welcoming. Really enjoyed a quiet evening by the great room fireplace. Had an enjoyable walk to the local coffee shop/coffee roasters two blocks away.
