Premier Holmes County Getaway Between Mohican and Amish Country!

Welcome to Whitetail Ridge Lodge, your premier Holmes County getaway! We are located between Holmes County's Amish Country and Mohican Country, providing guests with either option for your vacation destination!
This tranquil retreat is tastefully furnished and beautifully landscaped and is nestled in a scenic woodland farm setting, with gorgeous views. The home offers more than just your basic cabin, offering 4400 square feet of luxurious comfort, this gorgeous timber frame home will not disappoint! Enjoy the view from the lower level walkout stone patio, the attached outdoor pavilion, the master bedroom balcony, or the front porch with family or friends.

The lodge is fully furnished with many pieces custom made by our local Amish craftsmen. It boasts three king sized beds plus a pullout. The custom made dining room table seats 12 and the new soft leather sectional in the great room offers the comfort to curl up with a favorite book or watch a game on the big screen TV or check your social media with the WIFI.

We can accommodate up to 6 guests. We do have a per person fee after the base rental of two (2) people. Please understand and fill in the correct number of people staying when you book your stay. Vrbo automatically calculates the charges for you when you make the reservation. Please be honest. We know when you have more people stay and you will be charged for the maximum number of guests. We are sorry this must be stated.

Summertime stays invite you to enjoy the outdoor pavilion where you can light a fire in the stone fireplace, while you grill steaks on the charcoal park style grill and soak in the beauty and quiet of this rural location. Winter offers a whisky barrel game table or the warmth of two gas fireplaces where you can kick back and just relax.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Be sure to gather all your personal items, especially cell phone chargers. If you moved furniture please return it to original location.
Start one load of sheets or towels but don't overload washer. Start dishwasher. Turn off all lights, fans, fireplace.
Exit through your coded entry door. Be sure it locks behind you! Come see us again!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

1.) Smoking is NEVER permitted. There is a $500 charge if ANY smell is detected inside.
2.) Pets are NEVER permitted. Pets will cause the loss of security deposit for cleaning.
DAY visitors are permitted; all guests MUST depart by 10PM. or deposit will be forfeited . Gatherings must be quiet and respectful of our other homes.

This place was exactly like we were looking for. The house is amazing and clean and well equipped with everything you would need. It is set in a country setting with no one around to bother you and it is so peaceful and quiet. We walked around the yard several times and cooked on the grill and just enjoyed everything. We will definitely be going back to this house. The host are amazing and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. Don't pass this place up if you are looking for a clean, quiet and relaxing place,

Beautiful!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lodge in Holmes County! It had everything we needed to feel at home. We had an easy drive to Loudonville to enjoy hiking and a day at Mohican and then back to make dinner and enjoy a quiet evening and fire.

Staff Retreat

We hosted our annual staff retreat. We enjoyed the peace and quiet during out stay. The property provided everything we needed. Tom and Kelly were gracious hosts. We have no reservations about recommending the Whitetail Ridge Lodge.

Making memories

The property was as stated, clean, secluded. We brought our daughter and her grandparents, and we were able to travel around during the day, return to the house make family dinner and play games. We left with wonderful memories.

Wedding weekend stay

Such a clean and comfortable place. Our daughter got married at Mohican Tree House resort and this was conveniently located. Iwe stayed here with friends and it was a wonderful place to come to at the end of the day and relax. We enjoyed watching deer at the pond. The owner was so very helpful in communication, directions and suggestions!

Labor Day Getaway

Wife and I joined four of our best friends for some time together and I think we all had a great time. The venue was great, the food and drink superb and the friendship so completely outstanding. We must make this an annual event.

Great home for a sister's weekend

Amazing property. Very private, tranquil, and offers an array of unmuffled sounds of nature. The home and furnishings showcase the Amish construction and craftmanship. Prompt communications with Kelly, the property owner. All instructions about our stay were provided on the website and at the house. It was perfect. We plan to visit again in the near future.

Beautiful retreat in the woods

Our family came together at this lovely retreat to view the total solar eclipse. We absolutely loved the house and property. It was perfect for gathering together while having plenty of space for everyone to have get away if they wished. We loved watching the sun set together on the outside covered dining area. We cooked several meals for our large group and the kitchen was well appointed. Everyone thought their beds were comfortable. We will definitely return to enjoy the property and explore the area.

Rural Delight

I can't say enough good things about this property. It's a beautiful house in a very quiet location that was perfect for our stay in Holmes County. This was just the place to spread out and relax after a day off driving through Amish Country. The rooms are well appointed, beds comfortable, and the living room area very spacious. The kitchen was great for fixing breakfast, and the huge dining table was excellent for a meal and for family UNO games. :) We loved our stay at White Tail Lodge and encourage anyone visiting the area to stay here. Thanks so much to the owners for making this amazing property available to visitors. We would definitely stay here again when we come back this way.

Relaxing Environment for Family Gathering

The lodge is a two-level building on a quiet, secluded, wooded area about 15 miles from Millersburg, OH in the heart of Holmes County. It was perfect for our two daughters and their husbands and the two of us. Three bedrooms all with king-sized beds and their own bathrooms and two large sitting areas, an island kitchen and large dining room that seated 10+ people. The lodge is close to a township road and is surrounded by acres of open fields and large wooded areas on three sides. A very private home with no close neighbors. There is an adjacent detached barn where someone was staying for the weekend, but we didn't see or hear them. The only reason we knew they were there was because the host told us and we saw their car parked outside the entrance on the opposite side of the barn. Had I needed more space, the barn and lodge could have been mine to rent, but the lodge was so roomy and private, it was perfect for our needs. The lodge was easy to get to and is about 25-35 miles from the Amish shopping areas in Berlin and Walnut Creek. Except for breakfast, we didn't eat at the lodge but the appliances were adequate for cooking. We did shop for some expendable supplies (plastic wrap, aluminum foil and containers for leftover food from unfinished dining out meals) but the essentials were provided for. All things considered, this was one of our favorite rentals and we are discussing a return trip next year. Highly recommended for adults and older kids.

Nice stay with friends

My wife and I grew up in this area and we decided to take some friends with us for the weekend to visit our old stomping grounds. This was a group of married couples with no kids. The location was great in our opinion, because we knew what was and was not around the house already. If you want big city excitement, this place isn’t for you. If you want something other than a Wal-Mart open on Sunday, this still isn’t for you. This is located in a rural area… which we loved. The house itself is very nice. The kitchen is huge. There are almost too many cabinets and we found ourselves opening and closing them a lot to try to find things. The rest of the house was also quite spacious and comfortable. Our friends were slightly taken aback by the rule book in the house. This is a nice place. We’ve stayed in many VRBO’s and this was one of the nicest ever. That said, the rule book left us feeling like we might make an unforgivable mistake and be charged for it. We are the people who try to leave a place better than we found it, but we were a little uneasy on our way out about whether we would see an extra charge after the fact. Happily, everything went smoothly and the host was very kind. Perhaps the rule book just needs a little tweaking in the presentation. We would definitely stay again.

Weekend getaway

The house is beautiful, and we had more than enough room for the 5 of us. It was a beautiful setting and we enjoyed the large yard and outdoor pavilion. Not too far from Loudonville and good restaurant options. Black Fork Bistro was recommended by the owner, and it did not disappoint. Would love to come back sometime.
