"I really liked the hotel's location. It was conveniently close to museums, historical attractions, and popular local food streets and night markets. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The kitchen in the public area was very convenient, especially for preparing late-night snacks. The room was spotless and stylish. All of the amenities and equipment in the room were high quality and worked perfectly. Overall, I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay."

"A Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Tainan! 5/5 We had an absolute blast staying at Provintia Hotel (天下南隅)! Prime Location: The hotel’s location couldn't be more convenient. It’s situated right in the central historic district, just a short walk from Chihkan Tower and surrounded by iconic streets. It makes exploring the best parts of Tainan effortless. Super Helpful Staff: The front desk team was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. They were always ready with great local recommendations and went out of their way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. Free Bicycle Rentals: One of the best perks of the hotel is that you can borrow bicycles for free! Riding through Tainan's narrow, charming alleys on two wheels is hands down the funnest way to get around the city. Must-Visit Markets Nearby: If you love local food, you're in for a treat. Don't miss out on exploring the food stalls and bustling traditional markets nearby (like Yongle Market, Shuixian Temple Market, and Guohua Street)—they are packed with mouthwatering Tainan delicacies!"

"I stayed at the Shangri-La last night and would like to comment on the level of hospitality I experienced at breakfast this morning. The section I was seated in had three servers: one female server and two young male servers. The female server was working diligently throughout the morning, but unfortunately, the two young male servers appeared tired, moved very slowly, and seemed reluctant to clear empty plates or attend to guests in a timely manner. Good hospitality is not only about responding when asked. Guests should feel that they are being cared for. Empty plates should be cleared proactively, and staff should remain attentive to the needs of the tables they are responsible for. On several occasions, I noticed the two servers looking toward my table and neighboring tables without clearing dishes that had been sitting there for some time. At one point, I called out to one of the servers, who simply walked away without responding. I mentioned my concerns to the female server, who explained that the two young men were new. While I appreciate that everyone needs time to learn, being new should not be an excuse for poor work ethic or inattentiveness. Shangri-La is a world-class hotel brand, and I believe proper training and service standards should be consistently upheld. Just as importantly, staff members should take pride in their work and genuinely want to provide excellent service. I offer these comments respectfully."

"Not sure why on Google it has less than 4 stars as it was an excellent stay, all in all. Lobby is located on the 8th floor, with elevators being outside on the ground floor. Check in was smooth, and the room was clean, spacious and functional. I had the trendy room double bed, and for one person it had an abundance of space-full desk, double bed, and while the bathroom isn't the largest, it is absolutely functional and the shower is sizable. Used the laundry room during my stay which was useful and not too busy. The location was very convenient, don't know much about Tainan's structure but there are numerous restaurants and stands, with many being on the Michelin guide and more. In a 5-10 minute walking radius there are a great number of food options, and if you expand it to 15 minutes you now have great shopping options too. I highly recommend FX Hotel Tainan, and am glad to have been able to stay for an extraordinarily reasonable price."
