Combine a sleek, contemporary interior, a private garden with glimmering pool and shaded terraces, and lovely views over olive groves and the turquoise Ionian Sea, and the result is villa Aura. 
This elegant villa is perfectly placed for lazy beach days: mornings on golden sand, afternoons cooling off in clear water, and easy strolls home with the sound of the waves in your ears. A friendly taverna (350m) and mini-market (450m) are just a short walk away, with more traditional tavernas and cafés close by in Vasilikos.

Gerakas is part of the Zakynthos Marine Park, a protected nesting site for the endangered Caretta Caretta sea turtle. Warm, shallow waters make this one of the island’s most inviting beaches.

Aura is one of three sister properties, each with its own private garden and pool. It’s an ideal set-up for families or friends travelling together: everyone has their own space to unwind, but you’re close enough to gather for a barbecue or an evening swim. From the upstairs balcony, views stretch across the garden to the turquoise sea, a serene backdrop for coffee at dawn or a quiet few chapters of your book at dusk.

Inside, the villa has a light, contemporary feel. An open-plan living and dining area flows onto the terrace, while a twin (or double) bedroom and shower room are located on the ground floor. Upstairs, the double bedroom offers a peaceful retreat, with a panoramic window and private terrace looking out over the pool and garden to the sea beyond.

And when you’re ready to explore further, there’s plenty to discover. Take a boat trip to hidden coves and sea caves, snorkel in impossibly clear water, or visit the famous Shipwreck Beach. Inland, wander olive groves, visit the Venetian castle in Zakynthos town…or splash at Zante Water Village, one of the biggest water parks in Greece.

As the day fades, a gentle stroll to Gerakas and dinner at a nearby taverna, with the sea just a whisper away, is the perfect way to end your day.

Being located next door to Metis and Aquatic means Aura could be a good choice for an extended family or a group of friends who can be near to each other whilst retaining their own individual space and privacy.  The twin bedroom can also be prepared as a King Size double, please request at time of booking.
