"This property itself was beautiful. Our room had two stories, and our room upstairs opened up to the restaurant, and the beautiful rooftop view. The staff here were so nice and helped us to plan everything we wanted to do. Also, the location of this place is very convenient, very close and walkable distance to the night food market, and different historic locations in Stonetown. We loved our stay here and will definitely go back. Only complaint we had was that the drain in the shower went down very slow and the bathroom would flood. The free breakfast was also very delicious."

"Fantastic boutique hotel in the middle of stone town. Staff were all fantastic and the room was exactly as in the photos. Loved the little historical items especially the coffee themed ones. Highly recommended "

"If you are on business trip or leisure and you want to be close to city and airport this is ideal location. The rooms are huge and very cozy. All rooms have Sea View and it has number of small boats for rent... like for fishing etc. Over the weekend there is waterpark which comes to life and it is amazing."

"This hotel is located in a great location and is super cute! The rooftop bar/pool/restaurant is really nice and the breakfast is fabulous!! We loved everything we had. The view from the pool is very nice and hip! The boutique in the hotel had very nice high end clothing and other neat stuff. The rooms are small but very nicely done and great bathroom amenities. I would stay here again for sure and I’m kind of a hotel snob but Upendo is super cute and decorated nicely "
