"Spice Palace Hotel was a great place to stay in Stone Town. The breakfast was better than I expected (omelette served, location was center of Stone Town, staff was very helpful and price was great. My only complaint was that the pool could have been warmer. I would stay here again. Stayed 5 nights."

"A wonderful stay in the heart of Stone Town!
We stayed at Emerson Spice during our trip to Zanzibar and what a fantastic place it is!
The hotel is full of character, with beautiful traditional architecture and a real sense of Zanzibar’s history. It’s completely different from your typical hotel, which is exactly what makes it so special.
The location is brilliant for exploring Stone Town, with everything within easy walking distance. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, and staying here...

"The view overlooking the beach during sunset is breathtaking. The weather was just perfect during end of Aug- beginning of Sep. The place is very well maintained with the staff being always helpful with a smile. When departing, they provided free shuttle to the airport."

Staying two nights at Emerson Spice Hotel was such a memorable experience that I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Stone Town. The property itself is gorgeous; all of the walking tours stop in front of the hotel to point it out. Each of the guest rooms is unique and truly spectacular, and it was such a pleasure being encouraged to explore the unoccupied ones during our time there. The front desk staff was so helpful with everything from airport transfers, ferry ticket purchases,...

A great getaway! The food was incredible, with each dinner being a 5-course fusion of pasta and seafood. The staff was great, always very helpful. Great location for a quiet beach getaway. I'd love to visit again.
