"A hotel that does everything needed but doesn’t excel at any one thing. For the price this is what you are okay with. Near the water with some nice places to lay out, pools are large, rooms were nice and spacious with a nice size balcony. Food is the miss overall (breakfast is very basic - options are very limited), even lunch options are pretty limited to a few sandwiches and pizzas. Dinner was better. If you are traveling around the island all day - you the location is a bit tough since you have to drive through a lot of extra small roads that could be avoided by with a hotel in the middle of island. That said continently close to other hot spots nearby like the gozo ferry, boats to comino, etc"

"We were very happy with our stay at the Solana and feel we picked the right hotel given the options that were available. The breakfast was really good with a huge choice, well laid out in a spacious restaurant. They were very good with their allergy information which was important to us for being gluten free. The pool area was fantastic, the bar was great serving drinks and snacks to the pool side. Hotel towels were available to use. The choice of the hotels restaurants was great and the staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean, we did have a couple of cockroaches, to be expected in the climate but it was not a problem and the hotel dealt with this issue and followed up. Overall a lovely stay - thank you"

"This hotel continues to evolve and somehow gets even better with every stay. Since my last visit, they’ve refurbished the gym and added filtered water and coffee machines to the rooms, showing a genuine commitment to continually improving the guest experience. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the consistently exceptional customer service across every department. I’ve stayed here several times now and genuinely can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Malta. Whether you’re travelling for business or leisure, the location is ideal and the experience is second to none. The pool team are fantastic and always happy to help with anything you need. The concierge and porters are consistently welcoming and quick to offer assistance, while housekeeping is incredibly well organised. Everything is done in a way that leaves guests feeling relaxed, comfortable and genuinely looked after. The management team are also highly visible and approachable throughout the hotel, which reflects just how well it is run. This is an outstanding Marriott, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Malta. They consistently go the extra mile, and that’s exactly why I keep coming back. Malta is a very special place to me, and over the years this hotel has become just as special in its own right."
