Lovely hotel with a welcome letter. Hotel was clean and near many nice restaurants. Around 17min walk to Douro river area. Staff was very helpful and nice! Breakfast was great! Highly recommended!

A nice hotel but experience ruined by hotels proximity to a dance studio across the street. Avoid staying in any street facing rooms particularly on the 1st floor. The dance studio has multiple classes a week and the noise is deafening. It ruined what would have been an otherwise enjoyable stay. The hotel did move my room but this was done after a lot of chasing by which point I’d decided to shorten my stay anyway. Manager reached out after I left to apologise but when I responded I didn’t hear back. The hotel breakfast is adequate but not great. There were a couple of lovely spots just down the street which were great.

I felt like the staff to guest ratio was 2/1 and everyone was most helpful and congenial we were in the penthouse riverside room with a private terrace and it was beautifully decorated and appointed. Such luxury. The 4 course breakfast was worth rolling out of the comfy bed for. We loved our stay and will recommend it to all of our friends. We watched the sunset on the wisteria canopied terrace each night of our stay and entertained our friends there. Thanks all
