"This is alovely boutique hotel that looks just like the online pictures. The man who greated me spoke the best English of anyone I have met in 7 weeks of travel in China and his advise on how to maximize my time was spot on. whe I asked about a car and driver for the day he arranged it. "The room we stayed in was nice. It was very dusty in Pingyao. I asked for clean towels on the second day of our stay because they were dirty. It was an awkward conversation, clearly they did not want to provide clean towels. In the end they didn’t and we were left to use dusty dirty towels."

Beautiful place for breakfast, Chinese breakfast did not suit my wife but great coffee and orange juice, i think they own luckin coffee next door. "This place is very nice place, it is very new, only 2 years after completely rebuild. The owner is great, he even went to railroad station to pick us. There is 23 rooms there, all different. And the owner prepared the breakfast for us, it is very nice. And the location is great, very close to center, just one block away, 2 minutes walk. Strong suggest it. Great price too. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pingyao and stay at the Yide hotel. It’s a classic Pingyao bankers house and the staff were wonderful. We ate several meals there and recommend that other guests skip the downtown restaurants and eat dinner there. Staying at the Yide is like a magical walk back in time!"
