While the hotel said it had air conditioning, it was not adequate to deal with last week's heat (mid 90's) and humidity. Fans were provided in each room but they did not provide the level of comfort expected.

My favourite hotel in Zurich
Really helpful staff, really nice room, everywhere spotless, superb breakfast. Will definitely return - I've been travelling to Zurich at least twice a year for the last 15 years and found this hotel last year - I'm not looking anymore

This hotel has a superb location for either touring or shopping, very good breakfasts and good rooms. Facilities are not quite in the same class, especially the lobby or we would have given it a 5 star rating. It suffers from the ridiculously complex controls for lighting and curtains but that is a problem with most newer hotels so we did not include it in our ratings.

Great hotel, great location. Everything is walking distance. Old town and shopping district. Helpful staff and friendly. Just be aware that some rooms are in a « basement «  Ours was in the 2nd floor but was like a semi basement. The room itself was great and spacious. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was also great.

The property itself is new and located in the middle of the Old town area, not far from the lake and a number of sights to see. The rooms are good-sized and modern. The big downside for me was that the air conditioning was pretty bad. This is due to (the hotel staff told me) a new regulation that new properties can't have air conditioning that lowers the temperature more than 5 degrees which doesn't help when it's 90F outside. This is directly tied to my second negative area as I was told that this was Biden's fault and that Americans just want it too cold. Whether or not you're a fan of Biden, it's not the right thing to say and criticizing a traveler and their country is not what I would expect. I would say that the vast majority of the staff were very pleasant and professional but the night person simply wasn't. The third negative area is that while the hotel did indicate that parking was offsite, they didn't say that it was over 500 meters away and that you had to climb a hill on a cobblestoned street to get to the hotel. If you took a cab or a tram there, you wouldn't have a problem but if you drive, then either ignore the no cars signs to bring your luggage up first or prepare for a trek. So, if you don't mind limited air conditioning or don't travel in the summer, and don't worry about parking then you're fine but I personally wouldn't stay here again as you can find better places to stay particularly since it's a higher cost property.

Our team of 10 nations always works to make sure our guests feel welcome and at home during their stay with us.Unfortunately, due to environmental restrictions we are only allowed to cool the rooms if the temperature outside is above 20C. If the temperature outside is above 20C we are only allowed to cool 5C underneath the outside temperature. Therefore, we are sorry that the room was too warm for you during your stay, however we always try to support the system with fans which usually helps to keep them a bit colder. As our hotel is located in the city center we do not have a parking onsite. However our guests can drive up to the hotel door to unload and load their luggage. The nearest parking house is the Urania Parkhouse, which is about a 5-6 minute drive from the hotel and it takes about a 7 minute walk back to the hotel following down the famous Bahnhofstrasse which is a sealed walking path that does not go up nor down. Great place to land at from overseas.
Really enjoyed our room with lounge after a flight in from San Francisco. The bed was comfortable, room was nicely designed and equipped. The staff were very welcoming.

Don't book new or modern hotels in Europe during the summer. Our room was a sauna. When we complained about the AC, we were told it was the best they could do due to environmental regulations. It was a beautiful, modern hotel with a great staff, but we didn't sleep at all because it was so hot in the room. I slept on the floor in the basement gym because it had an air conditioner that worked.

This hotel was so beautiful. The only problem we had is that we were super hot in the summer bc the AC was not turned on. The government has a regulation about that, so we slept with the windows open and a fan.

The only fault I have with this hotel is that when I booked it they stated that they had air conditioning and not the we are here there is clearly no air conditioning. They did provide a standing fan but that does nothing. There is currently a heatwave happening and when I asked if the A/C was working the gentleman at the front desk said no because it’s to hot outside. Call me crazy but I thought that’s when one would need A/C. Anyway, the hotel is nice but way overpriced and shouldn’t have a 4 star without air conditioning.

Nice hotel with a great location. Only problems were 2: 1. The room was pretty hot despite air conditioning. The unit had a fan as indication that they are aware of this 2. I was doubled charged for my room. The staff was pretty responsive after I left in making sure that I would get my refund. Still, not very pleasant to know that you got charged twice

Don’t book during hot weather!! The staff was really fantastic! Super friendly and helpful. The location also is terrific with so many restaurants and upscale shops virtually at your doorstep. The reason we would never stay again - or ever recommend it to anyone (at least during summer) is that the rooms are not air conditioned! When we first looked at it as an option, it clearly stated it had AC. It does not. The rooms were unbearably hot and the two floor fans the staff brought up barely made a difference. Shame on Sorell Hotels and ZFV for misleading advertising. For what we paid, and for the luxury status they claim, it’s a huge miss. I’m only sorry for the wonderful staff who is left bearing the dissatisfaction of guests (we heard others complaining about it too).

The property is very nice. Great staff. Advertised as air conditioned. Controls on air which caused us to have a horrible experience because the out side temperature was hot. We are contacting management and requesting a full refund. This experience was under the control of management. Most guest were complaining about hot stale air.

We like to apologize for this situation. As you awere, we offered our guests different amenities and services like free drinks etc. and most of the guest were finally happy with our guesture.
