The place is centrally located. A lot of info was missing. We know Europe isn’t as equipped for summers (and heatwaves like we experienced) so we looked for air conditioning which was listed as an amenity. Not only was the property only equipped with a fan - when we contacted the host they tried to tell us that the fan was a European air conditioner because it worked on a water base. They sent someone 24 hours into our rental who brought a water-based fan, which improved it slightly, but this is not air-conditioning. The property was also extremely damp. The floor was wet and slick most places due to no ventilation (including no bathroom fan) and no dehumidifier. When the host brought a dehumidifier the next day, it worked through heating and so competed with the water-based fan. We kept the dehumidifier working while we were sightseeing, and when we came back it was hotter inside than out so we turned it off and put the fan on. When we woke up in the morning, the floor was again covered in a film of wet. There were also some bugs. This is a ground floor property outside of the main entrance of an apartment building and it sits on a major tram route. You can hear the tram passing 24 hours a day with windows closed which the host should indicate. The one window had no screen, and so it was not feasible to keep this open for ventilation. The highlight of the property was the very nice person who brought us the dehumidifier and water based fan and tried her best to help.
