The staff at Hotel Zen are very friendly, the rooms are cleaned daily and the facilities (pub, restaurant, pool, hot tub, sauna and gym) were all fantastic. The hotel itself is lovely, well maintained and in a decent location. Having breakfast included was worth the extra money as it is €15 a day if you decide to pay while you’re there. The only reason I’ve given 4 and not 5 stars is due to the fact that at night and in the morning it can be quite noisy. The rooms are not soundproofed at all, so at night you hear people going back to their room and in the morning you hear the cleaners. However that was genuinely the only downside to the stay!

We booked a ground floor room as limited availability. The hotel itself was lovely but when we checked the guy at reception was putting us off our room before we had even seen it and was trying to get up to upgrade. It put us off as it felt like the hard sale before seeing the room we had been allocated. We stuck with the ground floor and it had a weird enclosed balcony which it does not show or mention in any of the pictures. The room itself was nice and we did enjoy our stay but if they had other rooms available why not upgrade us for goodwill rather than charging us

We enjoyed the stay at Riu Malaga as first of all the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The servers were very available and arranging. Food was pretty good and the atmosphere was laid back to help with the vacation mood. I would visit this property again. Thank you.

Location is amazing, room, pool beach. Really missing a bar with real glasses inside, everything revolves around the pool area. That said great hotel and would return!

Total relaxation in a beautiful setting. Half board option was well worth it, food was very good. Staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of sun loungers in landscaped gardens. Drinks were expensive but to be expected in a boutique style accommodation. Highly recommended.
