The resort was fine. Some areas needed updating but overall the resort is in good condition and our stay was a good one. The main problem with our stay was the with about half (or more than half) of the staff members. Generally, they were just unfriendly and unwelcoming. If you asked for something, they would oblige, but it felt like you were bothering them or they were disgusted with serving you. Example is someone would give you a drink you ordered and you smile and say thank you and they just walk away...no smile, no you are welcome. Just dismissive. Also, getting a drink sometimes there would be 4 people behind the bar, with none of them serving anyone or anything and they would just let you stand there. They would make eye contact and ignore you and make you wait for 60-90 seconds. Just weird, like i was an inconvenience they were hoping would just walk away. Very strange and unwelcoming. Other servers/bartenders were great. But the positive experiences were only about 30% of the time. Beach was nice, but not great removal of seaweed from the beach. Advertised using red flag in the sand to summon a server to bring drinks to you on the beach but service was so slow that I would just go get my own. Pool was okay. Pool bar was same hit or miss service regarding friendliness/service. I will say Anthony at the pool bar was Great! Room was cleaned every day very nicely. Exercise room was clean, but 1 of 3 treadmills were broken. Good stay, not great.

Amazing stay! Excellent hospitality, entertaining, and food!

On the plus side the facility was well maintained including hotel, grounds, beach, and pool areas. Buffets at Verandah offered a multitude of choices catering to everyone's taste. Specialty meals at two of the restaurants were a very nice touch. Staff was friendly and helpful. On the negative side I wasn't pleased with the Internet options. Standard had to be renewed on a daily basis while paying extra, in this day & age, for high-speed internet at a hotel makes no sense. I found our mattress to be lumpy while my wife had no problem. We both disliked the pillows. It was like sleeping on a bag of sand.

For the price we paid for our stay I can definitely say it was worth it. We started off with a little hiccups but the staff was so helpful and made sure to correct everything and made sure we got proper accommodation. We also got complimentary accommodation for the water park in Atlantis which I found was really nice especially since we had kids 7 and under. The park is 5 mins walk away from the hotel. There is restaurants around as well walking distance. The breakfast was more American cuisine which was ok and again the staff working in that area was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
