Stayed at the Colombia Hotel for Venice Carnivale and the location was just perfect. Within minutes of San Marco along a straightforward path and to the key spots for photographing masks. The hotel arranged a private water taxi which was convenient though a bit steep (a nearby hotel was 10EU cheaper which helps). Breakfast staff were always attentive and pleasant. Breakfast options were varied with plenty of fruit. Room was spacious as was the bathroom. Well worth a consideration and a return visit.

Great to stay just south of San Marco. Great restaurants withing a short distance. We were just a few minutes walk from the Academia and Peggy Guggenheim museums and very minimal distance from the Academia Bridge.
The hotel is lovely. Breakfast was great and a good way to start the day. Servers at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. We stayed a week and were glad to be out of the busiest areas but still close enough to everything.
