wir hatten mehrere Mängel, kaputter Wasserhahn , defektes Licht, und es roch stark nach Rauch im Eingangsbereich. aber die grösste Enttäuschung war, dass wir dies nach der ersten nach meldeten und bis am Schluss nie eine Rückmeldung bekam. wir waren 3 Nächte dort. nach 24 stunden Warten , versuchten wir es über die Hilfsseite von Hotels.com. auch diese schrieben mir dass sie niemanden erreichen konnten. Wir hatten alles fristgerecht bezahlt und die Wohnung sauber und ordentlich hinterlassen. wir denken wir haben unseren tel erfüllt. schade dass sie ihren Teil für den bezahlten wert nicht haben. wir fahren regelmässig nach Amsterdam, aber so wie es aussieht nie mehr zu ihnen . und wenn der service von Hotels.com ebenso ein Farc ist wie der vom Hotel, werden wir in Zukunft auch hotels.com meiden.

The hotel smells bad so the staff constantly sprays this air freshener around that smells like bug spray..the towels r frayed and have holes in them..my single room was very small and so was the shower..there is a big hole by the front steps that is dangerous..8 steps to get into the hotel..the breakfast was OK.

Location was really good. We walked everywhere! Breakfast was overpriced. If it isn’t included in the price, go somewhere else.

Location is perfect. The property is historic. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will stay there again!

Stayed for 1 night. Staff were very helpful for dinner recommendations and train and tours! Fantastic place to stay! Very helpful staff!

Having booked a trip with my 6 year old daughter, noting the temperature was 32 degrees, we made the decision to pay a premium price and stay in order to use the swimming pool. On the day of travel the hotel contacted us asking us to online check in, with a small note at bottom saying the pool is closed. Whilst this is I’m sure not avoidable, when we attempted to book they stated they would get back in touch in 3 hours after discussing with the reservations team. Hours then days passed, no response to my numerous calls and emails. With no option but to check in we were placed in a dated but clean room 802, next do to the creaky lift, which kept us up all night. As we boarded our ferry home 2 days after our arrival Expedia contacted us to approve a hotel change due to the facilities not being as described. Shame it wasn’t done before our trip was over. I have arranged a call back when we arrive home. Whilst we made the most of the trip it left a bitter taste, knowing we could have stayed in a neighbouring hotel for over £90 less, had we not wanted the pool. The website still states the hotel has a pool, I just wouldn’t count on it.

Very central and surprisingly quiet room. But the room was tiny the pictures are misleading to show how tiny the room is. The bed had 2 single matts which kept sleeping and I kept ending up in the middle. Then they demanded 50 euros extra for city tax which should be accounted in the price and additional approx 100 pounds for damage deposit? I still haven't received this back and again this demand should be declared. In summary a very central but below average overpriced hotel. 3 stars maximum.

Great location right next to the Nine Streets, making it easy to explore Amsterdam on foot. The room had air conditioning, which was much appreciated, and we generally really enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, although one member of staff came across as a little stand-offish and wasn't as helpful as they could have been. One small downside was that our windows faced directly onto other guests' rooms, which felt a little awkward in terms of privacy. The stairs inside the building were very steep, but that's to be expected in these beautiful traditional Amsterdam houses and wasn't a surprise. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend it for its excellent location and character.
