Location, Locatioj, Location! Other than this, a drastic remodeling needs to happen. Outdated rooms, carpet and just felt “icky” staying in the room.

My husband and I got married at the Royal Lahaina 25 years ago, so what better place to celebrate our silver anniversary than at Maui's RL. First and foremost, we love the location, it is right in the heart of Kaanapali Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The building is well maintained, as are the pool areas. We loved the new on-site activities, such as the music under a beautiful giant tree, "The Branches", where we got to enjoy music with the touch of Hawaii. We also visited the bar, where we enjoyed well-prepared drinks and some delicious snacks. The only thing I noticed this time versus past visits to RL was that most of the staff members were not as friendly as what we are accustomed to. I think a smile goes a long way, especially if you are providing services to tourists. Overall, we had a great celebration.

Just as described online. The location was excellent--just far away from the busiest part of Waikiki.

There was no parking available when I arrived, Had to park several blocks from the hotel at another parking deck. Expensive daily parking fees.
