Matra Beach Holidays

Stayed for 2 nights to visit Christmas markets. The entrance to the hotel was clean and smart. We were too early to access our rooms, however we were able to leave our luggage to explore the city. Hotel is in a good location. Not too close to the centre so its noisy but an easy walk to the markets or if you'd rather ,the are transport options very close by. Good Irish pub on the corner, but an even better ,ridiculously cheap Asian/ Hungarian restaurant 2 mins walk away. Check in was quick and easy. We were on the top floor. Our room was clean, the shower had excellent pressure/ heat and the beds were super comfortable! Fantastic nights sleep. There was a strong smell of drains in our friends room, however this was manageable with opening windows foe a short time. Don't think there was anything the hotel could do about this as noticed the smell walking around as well. Also no milk/ sugar with tea/ coffee in room, which was a bit of a nuisance. Breakfast. If you want a good selection GO EARLY! Breakfast is 7-10am. We went down at 9am first morning and there was very little left and wasn't replenished. Following day we were down by 8.20am and there was plenty of choice. Overall a decent hotel with a good night's sleep.

The staff were very friendly and courteous. The rooms were alright but the beds a bit uncomfortable

The staff was very attentive, the room was clean, and the all-day coffee was wonderful. Ikonik is located close to the Hop-on-Hop-Off bus. I walked everywhere and went to Hungarian restaurants outside of the tourist spots only because the staff gave great recommendations. I would stay there again!

Excellent location just minutes from the cutest underground stations Metro 1. Our room was spacious and situated in the street off the main boulevard. Only criticism was the bathroom towels. They were in need of replacing as very hard, thin and a bit grey!

Amazing and incredibly attentive staff. Rooms were awkward and a/c/heating made them very uncomfortable. Having the deluxe rooms was a bit of a punishment as well: bathroom on garden floor and bedroom up a staircase with no railing. Would not return to this hotel

Staff were super friendly and were there to help when needed. We were given a complimentary upgraded and the room was amazing! Beautiful building in a beautiful city.
